THE GOD EATER

But Loki didn’t plan to let them have their way. He said to the driver of the airship, “Land the airship and follow my lead.”

Then he took to the air.

He flew straight towards the city. His goal was the energy shield.

As he got close to the blue glass dome above the city, he clenched his fist into a punch and cocked his arm back.

What he was going to do was clear to everyone. But they couldn’t understand what he hoped to achieve by doing this.

Everyone stopped what they were doing to see what he was going to do. So they saw him smash his fist into the glass dome.

The power of his punch was 3(Dao Status) × (4(Telekinesis Metac) + 4(Reversal))× (4(Body) + 5(Life Ability) + 3(Mind) + 450% Energy Well) × (4(Body Lever) + 4(Living Armament) + 4(Energy Amplifier) +4(Force Lever)) × (300% Overdrive + 450% Energy Nexus), which is 47,520 units.

He had used two pathways for that attack. Six Metacs were used, including his Life Ability, and 120,000 units of energy were consumed for that single attack. But the result made the expenditure worth it.

The power of his punch smashed into the glass dome and shattered immediately. The whole glass dome exploded into fragments of energy that turned into blue motes of light that scattered into the air.

The sight was so demoralizing that everyone beneath him began to scream in fear. People were rushing about, which caused a stampede to take place.

This was the behavior of the mortals. But even the cultivators were not feeling good because of the turn of events. Even the rank 4 warrior that was supposed to be their backbone swallowed nervously.

The rank 4 knew what he should do, but he didn’t want to do it. Their job is to defend the city, but common sense dictates that they can’t defeat someone who can break the energy shield with one attack.

The war between his duty and common sense raged within for a while. This caused him to be frozen in indecision.

But Loki didn’t give the warrior time to think. He spread his wings and let them scatter into small blades. Then he controlled the blades to fly like a flock of birds into the warriors.

The flock of flying blades descended on the warriors like locusts descending on wheat. Each blade was as small as a pocket knife, but they were sharp enough to cut to the bone.

The bones of the warriors were very tough, but their flesh was free game. So the flock of flying birds was able to strip a warrior of their skin and muscles in no time.

The giants were especially vulnerable to this kind of attack. But the transformers could still hold on somewhat. So Loki also brought out his tail guns to assist the flock of flying birds in taking down more difficult enemies.

To the warriors, Loki had shattered their energy defense with one punch and had begun a round of massacre. This massacre was targeted at the cultivators, so even the cultivators began to scream in fear and pain like the mortals.

The rank 4 warrior in charge of the city saw all of these and knew that the city couldn’t be held. So he shouted at everyone, saying, “Abandon the city. Fall back to our position inland.”

Even as he was shouting for everyone to run for their lives, he was already running for his life. So he was doing his duty while simultaneously preserving his life. Unfortunately for him, his shouting drew Loki’s attention to him.

Loki turned to him and sneered as he said, “You could have escaped if you didn’t shout. But you had to tell me where you were. What do you take me for?”

He immediately turned the rail guns on the warrior and opened fire. So armor-penetrating bullets sailed through the air to the figure that was flying away for his dear life.

This rank 4 warrior was a transformation cultivator and had the phantom figure of a beast around him. This phantom figure was a rhino, which granted him immense strength and defense.

The phantom rhino is slow, so there was no way he could dodge the bullets. But when the bullets struck him, they failed to penetrate the surface armor of the body of the phantom rhino.

This was because the power of the bullet was 3(Dao Status) × 4(Telekinesis) × (3(Mind) + 450%(Energy Well)) × (5(Life Ability) + 4(Energy Amplifier) + 4(Force Lever) + 4(Living Armament)) × (300% Overload + 450% Energy Nexus), which was 11,475.

While the power of the phantom was 4(Status) × 4(Phantom Beast) × (5 Body + 4 Rhino Beast Tattoo + 70% Energy Well) × (4 Rhino Heart + 4 Rhino Armor + 4 Rhino Strength + 4 Rhino Horns) × (400% Overdrive + 70% Energy Nexus), which is 11,671 units.

Loki caught some clues about what Metac his target was using and how he was using them by using the Power Identification Ability. After he realized where the problem lay, he knew what to do.

So he smiled and said, “Look what we have here. You are pretty impressive for a transformation warrior. If you’re not the strongest warrior on this battlefield, you shouldn’t be far from being the strongest.”

As he was speaking, he switched to using the Reversal Metac. Since no one was attacking him, he couldn’t use their attacks to empower himself. So he could only rely on himself.

Fortunately, he is not lacking when relying on himself. When he combined the Dual Cultivation Pathway with the Forging Pathway and used the Quadruple Mind Metac to split his mind into two so that he could use his mind for the two of them, his power immediately soared.

His power became 3(Dao Status) × (4(Telekinesis)+ 4(Reversal)) × (3(Mind) + 3(Mind) + 450%(Energy Well)) × (5(Life Ability) + 4(Energy Amplifier) + 4(Force Lever) + 4(Living Armament)) × (300% Overload + 450% Energy Nexus), which was 32,130 units.

So this time, his bullets found purchase past the armor of the rhino.
