The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

After hearing these words, the meeting hall once again sank into a deep silence, with everyone involuntarily immersed in their own thoughts.

It’s important to understand that regarding this old unresolved case, the task force had previously conducted numerous studies and analyses, and the consensus had always leaned towards: the control and murder actions presented in the case could not have been executed by a single person.

From a logical perspective, when a person faces the enormous threat of life and death, the will to resist and the body’s potential often explode far beyond the norm.

As the old saying goes, ”A cornered dog will leap over a wall,” let alone a person with a strong survival instinct?

Under these circumstances, an individual’s ability to resist will escalate drastically, making it exceptionally difficult to subdue or suppress the opponent.

Specifically, in this case, among the two deceased, the male victim was particularly robust and had long been engaged in physical labor in rural areas.

Experienced people understand that those who work on farms for years often have muscle strength and endurance superior to ordinary individuals, and the intensity and persistence of their resistance are not easily subdued.

Therefore, from the perspective of the difficulty of control, the possibility of a single perpetrator is considered to be minimal.

At this moment, Jiang An slowly surveyed the conference room, noticing that many were whispering and exchanging views.

He paused and added in a calm tone: ”Of course, the above are merely some preliminary thoughts based on existing materials on my part, and may not be completely accurate. Ultimately, we need to wait for more evidence to emerge and for the truth to be thoroughly uncovered before reaching a conclusion.”

Although the wording was tactful, everyone present understood the weight of his words—especially when proposed in such a formal setting, it was by no means a momentary whim, but a judgment made after careful consideration.

Subsequently, Jiang An turned to Director Hou and said humbly: ”Director Hou, the above are some of my basic views on the case. There may be many omissions and inadequacies, so please, you and the colleagues and seniors present, do correct me.”

”Everyone here is experienced, with insight far deeper than mine. What I just said inevitably risks showing off my petty skill before an expert.”

Upon hearing this, Director Hou gently nodded, a slight approving smile appearing at the corners of his mouth.

He began to speak: ”I completely agree with the three points of analysis Mr. Jiang just raised.”

”I also participated in the early-stage discussions of this case many times and deeply understand the details and the hardships of the investigation process.”

”However, I must admit that today Mr. Jiang has provided us with a brand new perspective. Our past discussions mostly concentrated on ’multiple perpetrators’ and ’revenge motives,’ especially regarding the many mysteries surrounding the fetal delivery process, which have always been the focus of contention.”

”However, after Jiang An’s recent review and analysis, I find this perspective very persuasive. At least compared to previous case discussions, it completely holds up logically.”

He paused briefly and continued in a steady tone: ”Next, I also want to briefly talk about a few personal opinions.”

”I think the next step in the investigation might proceed along the three directions suggested by Mr. Jiang: First, we need to delve deeply into the emotional relationship between the two deceased, even digging deep and thoroughly, tracing back to their middle school stage or even earlier emotional beginnings—such as early or secretive romantic experiences—cannot be ignored.”

”We all know that normal emotional relationships are often public, but there is also a kind of ’unrequited love’ deeply hidden in the heart, which sometimes turns out to be more persistent and unforgettable.”

”Therefore, when investigating emotional clues, it is essential to peel back the layers like peeling an onion until we reach the core truth.”

”The second point, I want to focus on sketching the profile of the criminal suspect in this case.”

”The analysis by Jiang An just now was indeed very profound and has greatly inspired me. In this case, the level of cruelty demonstrated by the murderer, especially the behavior towards the fetus, utterly violates our basic human morals and ethical principles.”

”From the perspective of normal human logic, this pattern of behavior has already surpassed what ordinary people can understand, and can be said to be a complete trampling of moral boundaries.”

”I have been engaged in criminal investigation work for nearly twenty years, and in these forty years, I have participated in the investigation of countless cases of various sizes and have personally captured many vicious criminals.”

”However, such cold-blooded and cruel methods of the criminal in this case are extremely rare in my career.”

”Frankly speaking, although the word ’cruel’ was mentioned many times in previous case analysis meetings, I did not comprehend its underlying meaning particularly deeply.”

”It was not until just now, after hearing Jiang An’s specific analysis of the fetal delivery process, that I truly felt a bone-chilling cold.”

”Precisely based on this point, I am more convinced that we are dealing with a perpetrator who is extremely psychologically twisted and behaves extremely abnormally.”

”From the autopsy data we have, the fetus shows large-scale bleeding and even blood clots in the dermis and below, indicating the external force applied was very strong and the process very violent.”

”Although it is not yet fully determined whether the mother still had signs of life during the compression incident, at least it can be inferred that she was likely already near death or in a comatose state, wholly incapable of resistance.

”Therefore, when profiling the scope of suspects in this case, people capable of such acts are highly likely to have severe mental or psychological abnormalities, such as suffering from schizophrenia, antisocial personality disorder, or being in some pathological paranoid, delusional state.”
