Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1143: Chapter 1143: Behave Yourself

”So... you’re not mad?”

”Why should I be mad?” Qin Jian put down his clothes, sat down beside her, and embraced her shoulders, ”Nothing you did was wrong.”

An Hao turned to look at him, ”Qin Jian, you’re so good to me... They say relationships between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law are difficult to handle! Moreover, in most disputes between them, husbands tend to side with their mothers. But with us, it seems you always stand by my side.”

”When you married me, I promised your father that I would make you happy, not let you suffer!” Qin Jian raised his hand to caress her cheek and said, ”You’re not an unreasonable person, I trust that you wouldn’t do anything outrageous. Even if there were mistakes, I believe you would recognize and correct them. You’ve done everything you could, why wouldn’t I stand by your side! Besides, I’m also capable of distinguishing right from wrong.”

”Qin Jian... my dear...” An Hao looked at him, her heart overflowing with emotion, ”Thank you, thank you for trusting me...”

”If you want to thank me, merely saying it isn’t enough, you also have to...” Qin Jian hadn’t finished his sentence when An Hao’s arms encircled his neck, and her soft, warm lips pressed against his.

Her rare initiation made his heart burst into bloom.

He kissed her deeply, and An Hao responded with equal passion. In the exchange of lips and tongues, a sense of restlessness and unease was kindled.

The two kissed more intensely, their hearts trembling in sync.

What was supposed to be a brief taste of a kiss had stirred a deep longing within both of them, and as it grew, his hands gradually began to wander on her skin, inching downwards, seeking to go further...

”Bang bang bang!” The sudden knocking sound came, interrupting the surge of passion between them. Zhang Yun’s voice carried through the door, ”An Hao, I brewed some red date and white fungus porridge, have a bowl before you sleep.”

An Hao frantically adjusted her clothes, then finally said, ”Mom, come in.”

Zhang Yun came in carrying the porridge, her piercing gaze immediately falling on An Hao’s swollen lips and the unnatural flush on her cheeks. She put the porridge down in front of An Hao, ”Drink it all up! You’ll sleep well, it’s good for your body.”

”Mhm.” An Hao obediently picked up the bowl and began to drink the porridge.

Zhang Yun pulled Qin Jian out, gently closed the door, and scolded him with stern eyes, ”You, behave yourself, got it?”

Qin Jian smirked, ”Mom, I don’t understand what you’re saying?”

”Stop playing dumb! The first three months are for baby’s stability! Once the baby is secure, both mother and child will be well. Control yourself during this time. No reckless behavior, do you hear me?” Zhang Yun admonished her son.

”Mom, An Hao is a doctor, she knows what she’s doing,” said Qin Jian.

”What does she know! Listen to me on this! From now on, I’ll be supervising you two. She is carrying two in there, you must be extremely careful,” Zhang Yun gave Qin Jian a thorough scolding, ”Once An Hao is done with the porridge, bring the bowl to the kitchen.”

In the room, An Hao couldn’t help but snicker as she drank her porridge, hearing her mother-in-law’s deliberately suppressed voice scolding Qin Jian.

When Qin Jian returned to the room, he saw An Hao curving her lips into a smile, looking flushed and pretty as a peach.

”And you’re laughing!” Qin Jian raised his eyebrows at her, ”You’re the one who started this fire.”
