Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1109: Chapter 1109: Key Protection Object

”You can guide me! Just talk, no hands!”

An Hao thought for a while, ”I don’t mind helping with the cooking, it’s just that I can’t stand the smell of the fumes in the kitchen.”

Qin Jian tossed the spatula into the pot and pulled An Hao out of the kitchen.

He placed a small stool on the ground: ”Here, sit down. You can direct me from here!”

An Hao chuckled, ”You really have your ways!”

”Huh?” An Ping was startled when he saw Qin Jian cooking, ”Sis, I protest! I don’t want to end up eating watery soup.”

”Your protest is invalid!” Qin Jian finished cooking one dish and, waving a kitchen knife, expertly sliced julienne potatoes. ”The time I cooked dumplings was an accident! Usually, my cooking may not compare to your sister’s, but it’s also not bad. Today, you’re in luck to catch me cooking. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have the chance to enjoy my cooking.”

”Can I pass this honor to someone else?” I truly don’t want to eat my brother-in-law’s cooking, but a person who can’t even cook dumplings properly can cook well?

”Sure. But you’ll just have to go hungry,” Qin Jian replied unapologetically to his brother-in-law.

”Brother-in-law, you weren’t like this before!” Who can tell him where the kindly, broad-minded Qin Jian who accommodated everyone has gone?

”I haven’t changed,” Qin Jian put down the knife and turned to An Ping, ”Your sister is pregnant and can’t stand the smell of cooking fumes! You should be more understanding! You see he also fried a few dishes. Going out to eat would be disrespectful to his efforts.”

”Understood.” An Ping looked at An Hao enviously, ”Are all pregnant women this blessed? You really rule the house now! You’re practically a panda!”

”What do you mean?” Erzhuzi didn’t understand.

”A national treasure!” Liu Xiaolian explained.

”An Ping, don’t tease me! Let me ask you, how’s the market research been these days? Why has everyone returned without stopping by or even giving me a heads-up?” An Hao had been pondering this in the afternoon.

Not showing up for five or six days, in the evening, she wanted to check on them, but Qin Jian, worried about the journey, wouldn’t let her go.

The more she thought about it, the more she felt there was something fishy.

”We did the research! It went okay!” An Ping spouted off.

”What do you mean by ’okay’? What’s your opinion on the market here? What are your plans for development?” An Hao asked.

”Well, focus on the vegetable garden! We won’t expand into the city for now!”

”Not expanding, after a week of research?” An Hao was skeptical, ”You guys didn’t just run around playing all week, did you?”

”On my honor. Sister An Hao, how dare we goof off!” Wang Erzhu moaned, being forced into education every day.

”So what did you do for a week?”

”Researched!” An Ping stuck to the same two words.

”There surely must be some findings from your market research, right? It can’t just be these two words ’okay’ or ’not developing! Did you check out the various vegetable selling points? Did you inquire about the prices of vegetables at each location? If we want our vegetables to break into the city market, what methods are you considering?” To think that An Hao, who had been idling at home these past two days.

Ever since An Ping and the others mentioned market research, she had been constantly brainstorming the idea.

As the volume of vegetables grew, limiting their sales to just the towns was insufficient; the city’s demand was greater.

Especially during winter, when the market was short of fresh vegetables.

They should come up with a way to transport them for sale in the city.

Previously, they had always targeted canteens of major institutions, including supplying the military.
