Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 549: Chapter 549: Show Her Some Colors

Gu Shuangshuang went to see the military doctor, claiming she had been severely constipated these past few days and wanted some laxatives to relieve her condition.

The military doctor prescribed her a few pills and told her to be very careful with the dosage, and not to use too much.

Gu Shuangshuang agreed.

She went out, bought several bottles of soda, and dropped the pills into the soda according to the maximum dose recommended by the doctor. Then she took the soda and went to find Feng Chunhua.

It was just past noon when Feng Chunhua woke up feeling dehydrated and parched.

Just as she was about to cut a couple of slices of watermelon to eat, she heard someone knocking at the door.

She opened it to find Gu Shuangshuang standing there.

”What are you here for?” she asked with a frown.

”Sister-in-law, I’ve come to talk to you,” Gu Shuangshuang said, handing her a bottle of soda.

Feng Chunhua looked at the cold soda, felt even thirstier, and took it, inviting Gu Shuangshuang inside.

”Sister-in-law, I’ve come to apologize,” Gu Shuangshuang began, smiling as she saw Feng Chunhua start to drink the soda. ”I offended you on the train. Please be patient with me. From now on, I definitely won’t talk back to you.”

Feng Chunhua felt refreshed drinking the soda and found Gu Shuangshuang’s words pleasing, ”Fine, you are younger, I shouldn’t hold grudges against you. You’ve seen what sister-in-law is capable of, haven’t you? Be more careful in the future, and I won’t make things difficult for you.”

”Thank you, sister-in-law,” Gu Shuangshuang said, leaving with a hop, skip, and a jump.

When she returned to An Hao’s room, she began laughing, clutching her stomach, ”An Hao, just you wait! I must get our revenge today no matter what.”

”What did you do?” An Hao was cooling her feet with a damp towel. Curiosity piqued when she heard Gu Shuangshuang, she couldn’t help but ask.

”A spectacular show, of course! Just wait a moment! It’ll be starting soon!”

”Pfft! Are you planning to mess with Feng Chunhua? I’m warning you, that woman is irrational and fearless! The only thing she’s afraid of is her husband!”

”Wrong! I don’t need to tattle on her to settle the score with her.”

Perhaps even heaven couldn’t stand by and was lending a hand.

That afternoon, Qin Jian and others came back for a visit and briefly spoke to An Hao. They said that they were all going out for nighttime training tens of kilometers away, and wouldn’t return until midnight.

Seeing her injured foot, Qin Jian took some Red Flower Oil out of the drawer and handed it to her, suggesting she apply it to ease the discomfort.

If everyone was required to go, naturally Yang Dahe was no exception.

It was a training exercise unique to their unit, designed to ensure that the officers maintained their physical fitness, emphasizing that even in peaceful times, training should not be neglected.

Not long after the troops left, Feng Chunhua began to feel stomach pains.

The pain grew worse and worse until she hastily grabbed some paper and rushed to the toilet downstairs.

She made countless trips to the restroom that afternoon.

With severe diarrhea rendering her unable to care for her son, she sent him to seek help from Zhang Guifang.

After a while, as the effects of the medicine wore off, she felt much better.

Recalling the soda Gu Shuangshuang had given her, she was sure the problem originated there; she blocked Gu Shuangshuang’s door and shouted abuse for a long time.

Suddenly feeling her stomach again, she rushed back to the downstairs toilet.

Gu Shuangshuang looked for An Hao: ”That old hag’s cursing was quite spirited! She’s too angry! The punishment wasn’t enough! She deserves to be trapped in the toilet with no escape.”

”That’s easy to handle,” An Hao said with a giggly grin, removing the lock from her suitcase. ”Go ahead, while she’s in the toilet!”

”Hahaha! Now, I’ll show her who’s really in charge,” Gu Shuangshuang laughed heartily. ”Let’s see if she dares to bully people in the future! She really thinks she’s the Overlord! She even planned to strut around in my territory!”
