Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 510: Chapter 510 You Dumb Ox!

Gu Shuangshuang really wanted to scold him: ”You big dumb ox!”

She was angry!

Could he really not hear it at all?

On the other hand, Qin Jian couldn’t help but feel anxious for Tian Niu’s intelligence as he listened.

If Gu Shuangshuang were not angry, why would she forget about Tian Niu in just under two short months?

Clearly, she was doing it on purpose.

”Go ahead and confess,” Qin Jian couldn’t help but urge him.

Tian Niu hesitated for a long time, and seeing the look of vexation on Qin Jian’s face, he finally gritted his teeth and mumbled, ”Shuangshuang, that... I... sort of have some feelings for you...”

Gu Shuangshuang, who had been angry, suddenly heard Tian Niu’s confession, and her heart instantly softened. A smile appeared on her lips: ”Some feelings? Which ’some feelings’ are those...?”

”It’s just... those feelings...” Tian Niu licked his lips and said.

No sooner had he finished speaking than he received a kick to the butt from Qin Jian, so painful that he almost jumped up: ”Staff Officer, what are you doing?”

Qin Jian looked at him with a mix of amusement and irritation: ”You deserve to be single at your age, not even able to speak properly.”

”Staff Officer, you just got married yourself. You’re one to talk about me.”

”Am I the same as you?” If it weren’t for the hat of an unlucky husband pressing down on him, he figured his child would be old enough to run through the streets to buy soy sauce.

Gu Shuangshuang was getting impatient waiting for his confession. Tian Niu hadn’t even said he liked her yet: ”Instructor Tian, how exactly do you feel about me? Can you be clearer? You’re usually so decisive, why are you beating around the bush now?”

Tian Niu was already nervous.

He was seven or eight years older than Gu Shuangshuang, not particularly handsome, and now that he’d come to the Northwest, he likely had to settle down here for good.

All the aspects mentioned were disadvantages for him, factors he feared would lead Gu Shuangshuang to reject him, so he was especially hesitant when he spoke.

Under such circumstances, shouldn’t a woman gently encourage him, saying, ”Don’t rush, take your time, I’m listening”?

Isn’t that how the women in his village behave?

Yet when it came to Gu Shuangshuang, she got all impatient, making him feel like if he didn’t speak up next, she would roar like a lioness from the east side of the river.

”Shuangshuang, be a bit kinder to me. After all, this is my first time, and I’m not confident,” said Tian Niu, scratching his head while feeling the pressure of Qin Jian’s X-ray-like gaze behind him, tying his tongue in knots.

”I’m not kind?” Gu Shuangshuang was on the verge of exploding with anger, for she had always been spirited, but no one had ever said she wasn’t kind.

”Yes. Your shouting just now was like getting a lecture from our Staff Officer. You should try to take a leaf out of my wife’s book,” Tian Niu said.

Suddenly, Qin Jian started to worry for him.

”Are you saying I’m like a man?” She couldn’t believe he was comparing her with Qin Jian.

”Not like a man, just not kind,” Tian Niu continued, his words drifting far afield, ”You’re also in medical school, you know. If you end up working in the military hospital later on, a temper like that will scare the soldiers to death. You need to learn to be gentle. Look at Xiaotian, the medic in our unit; she’s truly gentle. The male soldiers all praise her...”

The more Gu Shuangshuang listened, the more she couldn’t take it. Without letting him finish his rambling, she yelled into the phone: ”If Xiaotian is so great, go find your gentle Xiaotian! Why bother me?”

After that, she slammed down the phone with a bang.
