Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 503: Chapter 503 Report Your Glorious Deeds

”Enough! Xu Yinuo!” Gu Shuangshuang couldn’t stand to listen anymore, ”Is it An Hao that has hurt you, or are you the one hurting An Hao again? How could you become like this?”

”She’s just jealous of An Hao!” The boys in the class had seen enough drama and began to speak up one after another.

”She’s always the one who never contributes to success but always has a part in failures!”

”So, she is actually that shameless kind of woman!”

Xu Yinuo slowly squatted down amid the accusations from her classmates, tears falling in big drops: ”I’m really not like that! It’s really not me!”

Gu Shuangshuang felt a pang of heartache seeing her once friend reduced to this state.

To help her or not, Gu Shuangshuang found herself torn.

On the contrary, Guan Kexin, seeing that things weren’t going well, pulled Xu Yinuo up from the ground: ”Who would believe you by explaining like this? Why let others laugh at you? Stand up and wipe off those tears!”

The bell for class rang, signifying the end of this farce.

...

At the end of the school day, everyone gradually returned to their dormitory.

Xu Yinuo was the last to go back; her eyes red, she covered herself with her blanket and began to sob quietly. The situation had developed to the point where she couldn’t prove her innocence, becoming the shameless woman in everyone’s mouth!

Everyone chose to believe An Hao! She had become thoroughly isolated!

The atmosphere in the dormitory became instantly heavy, and no one was in the mood to talk.

Each of them fell silent!

Eventually, Xu Yinuo’s stifled sobs turned into loud crying, and Guan Kexin finally couldn’t stand it anymore. She sat up in bed and yelled at her: ”Stop crying! What’s the use of crying over things that have already been done? Now, in the middle of the night, are you not going to let people sleep?”

”Guan Kexin, shut your mouth!” Gu Shuangshuang peered down from the upper bunk, glaring at Guan Kexin, ”Xu Yinuo is in this state all because of you! What right do you have to tell her to be quiet? Let me tell you, you better behave these next few days. Otherwise, I’ll write to your Commander grandfather and report your ’glorious deeds’ at school!”

”Gu Shuangshuang, how dare you!” Guan Kexin reverted to her old ways after being quiet for a while.

”I dare! Who says I don’t! How about we try it?” Gu Shuangshuang said, and then she spoke to An Hao, ”An Hao, when you go back, help me ask Commander Ning for the address of our dear Commander. I want to write a letter to report to his lordship!”

”You... you shameless!” Guan Kexin didn’t dare to make a fuss, and quickly covered her head with her blanket.

Gu Shuangshuang got down from the bed and lifted Xu Yinuo’s blanket with a raise of her hand.

She was huddled under the blanket, sobbing with tears and snot, her eyes swollen red.

”Xu Yinuo, do you realize your mistake now?”

Xu Yinuo, with tears in her eyes, gave Gu Shuangshuang a couple of glances and curled her lips coldly: ”What? Are you here to pity me now? Or to kick me while I’m down?”

Gu Shuangshuang had good intentions, but she was severely choked off by the response: ”In your heart, am I someone who takes pleasure in others’ misfortune?”

Xu Yinuo grabbed a towel from the bedside and roughly wiped her tears, glaring bitterly at Gu Shuangshuang: ”You’ve changed! You’re not the Gu Shuangshuang I knew anymore. Don’t think I don’t know, the rumors were spread by you and An Hao, purposely to smear me!”

”You are mistaken.” An Hao, who had been silent till now, spoke up, ”This matter has nothing to do with Gu Shuangshuang, it was all my own doing.”

”An Hao, you are too cruel!” Xu Yinuo glared at her, her teeth nearly clashing in anger.

”All I did was use their own methods against them!”
