Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 488: Chapter 488: The Feeling of Boiling Blood

Xu Yinuo was like a rabbit. That was Gu Shuangshuang’s assessment of her timidity.

Today, she took the initiative to stand up, which truly surprised everyone!

All eyes were on Xu Yinuo, her heart pounded fiercely, her cheeks gradually reddening, but she felt a hint of inexplicable excitement.

She understood the meaning of those gazes.

Everyone was incredulous, wondering why it was her who stood up!

At the same time, Xu Yinuo was also happy. This was the first time, and the only time since the beginning of school, that everyone in the classroom focused their attention on her!

Yes, it was a blood-pumping feeling!

Watching Xu Yinuo’s face turn red with nervousness, Yan Ye’s eyes flickered with a hint of admiration; he then nodded, signaling that she could start.

Ideals are plump, but reality is skeletal.

When Xu Yinuo picked up the scalpel, it felt as heavy as a thousand pounds. The moment the scalpel sliced through the skin, the revolting, nauseating smell rushed at her, making her almost vomit.

Just when she had barely overcome the urge to throw up and started separating the flesh, Xu Yinuo couldn’t help it again, her hand shook violently, and she accidentally pierced through the corpse’s skin.

”Hiss~” A collective gasp filled the air, and Yan Ye’s brows furrowed involuntarily as he stared at Xu Yinuo’s hand and said coldly, ”A semester has passed, and you still can’t overcome this psychological barrier?”

”I...” Xu Yinuo lowered her head, ”I’m sorry, Teacher Yan, I... I won’t do it again next time, I’ll definitely work hard to overcome the psychological barrier and strive to do my best.”

Yan Ye looked at her like this, his lips pressed tightly together.

For a student majoring in clinical medicine, not being able to dissect a corpse was a big problem.

In his mind, he pondered how to increase her courage, and as he was deep in thought, Xu Yinuo encountered another problem, ”I’m sorry, I forgot what to do next...”

”Enough. Don’t say sorry anymore. What I want is a precise dissection process.”

”Yinuo, you haven’t let anyone down. Don’t be so overly cautious. You just need to familiarize yourself with the coursework, as long as you go back and review the theoretical notes, remembering the steps is not so difficult after all,” Gu Shuangshuang couldn’t stand it and said to Xu Yinuo.

With a look of grievance, Xu Yinuo stared at Yan Ye, as if making up a great deal of determination, she promised him, ”Teacher Yan, please give me another chance. I promise that in the next class I will perform a perfect practice.”

”Alright. Since you’ve said so, I’ll give you one more chance. Next class I’ll call on you. Medicine is a matter of life and death, it doesn’t tolerate even a slight negligence on your part,” Yan Ye reprimanded his student very seriously.

”Teacher, I’ve got it, rest assured, I definitely won’t let you down,” Xu Yinuo clutched the corner of her clothes tightly.

At last, the dissection class was over, and everyone sighed with relief.

Carrying her notebook in her arms, Xu Yinuo quickly left the anatomy building, found her way to the garden, located a quiet corridor, sat down, and began flipping through her notes.

She reinforced the content of the theoretical class in her mind over and over, closing her eyes to visualize herself dissecting with the scalpel.

In her mind, she practiced out of thin air. In a week, she had to become what Yan Ye described as ’very good’.

”Yo, isn’t this Xu Yinuo?” A familiar voice came from beside her, filled with full mockery and disdain, ”What’s the matter? Feeling upset because you made a fool of yourself in class? You can still console yourself with your ’Ah Q’ spirit.”
