Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 480: Chapter 480: Is There a Problem with the Body?

An Hao’s face was tinted with a blush.

Ever since their wedding, the two of them had not used any protective measures, and these past few days, they had almost done ”that” thing every day.

An Hao’s menstrual cycle was very regular, and she had just finished her period the day before their wedding, so there would definitely be no problem these few days.

But it would be a different story mid-month, she was still a freshman, and she didn’t want to get pregnant right after getting married; it would delay her studies for a year or two.

”Qin Jian, can I discuss something with you?” An Hao raised her head and looked at him as she spoke, ”Can we wait before having children? I’ve just started college; at the very least, can’t we wait for two or three years? Let me nearly complete my studies, right? With a child, my focus would surely be divided, and I’m afraid my college effort would go to waste.”

Qin Jian felt his wife had a point: ”Alright, then we’ll do as you say. You’re still young now; it’s also fine to have children when you’re older. But don’t wait until I’m an old man before you decide to have children.”

”Don’t worry. You’re not old at all, not one bit,” An Hao said with a giggle.

After returning home, Qin Jian gave the things he had brought from An Hao’s house to Zhang Yun, and she was so delighted that she couldn’t shut her mouth.

If the in-laws lived comfortably, Qin Jian and An Hao would bear less burden in the future.

But when Zhang Yun saw the things Li Junping had given, her face darkened. She tossed the two half bags of millet and cornmeal aside without a glance, keeping only the photo album that contained Qin Jian’s pictures.

For the exchange of children, Zhang Yun could never forgive Li Junping in this lifetime.

The days flashed by, and soon it was the Spring Festival, which was celebrated with great fanfare in the military compound.

The children who grew up in the compound gathered together for parties. Although Qin Jian was the Commander’s son, he had a different upbringing and a more reserved nature, so even if people invited him, he rarely went.

He spent most of the time accompanying An Hao, watching movies, and visiting the lantern fair, and just like that, the entire Spring Festival passed by.

An Hao’s winter break had also ended, and it was time for the new semester to start.

Because Qin Jian hadn’t left yet, An Hao had been living at home during this time.

It was originally thought that Qin Jian would leave in February.

Unexpectedly, the troop’s reorganization wasn’t completed until March, and by mid-March, Qin Jian headed to the Northwest troops, taking the position of Chief of Staff.

Tian Niu went with him, his post unchanged as the company commander, while Jian Ying was assigned to another place; this pair of golden partners, after many years of working together, had finally separated.

In the two days before his departure, it was the weekend for An Hao.

The sweetness of their new marriage had not yet faded, and Qin Jian had to leave; she truly felt uncomfortable, but it was the arrangement of the organization.

A soldier’s duty is to obey orders!

Therefore, Qin Jian had no choice but to go.

Taking advantage of her Saturday off, An Hao cooked all of Qin Jian’s favorite dishes: soy-sauce beef, marinated small fish, chili sauce, and so on, filling two large backpacks to the brim.

After she finished these tasks, An Hao was also quite exhausted; she lay down on the bed in the afternoon and didn’t wake up until it was dark. Thinking of making dinner, she went downstairs, only to see her in-laws busy and refusing to let her help, so An Hao simply went back up.

In the kitchen, Zhang Yun was making chicken soup and talking to Ning Yibin, ”Do you think An Hao didn’t get pregnant last month because there’s something wrong with the two children?”

Ning Yibin, who was cutting vegetables, turned his head and replied, ”Getting pregnant just a few days after getting married? Don’t make wild guesses; I think both children are very healthy, neither of them has any problems.”
