Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 470: Chapter 470: Are You Still My Sister?

An Hao ordered three bowls of beef noodles, a serving of stir-fried pork with hot peppers, and a serving of stir-fried eggs with green onions. As soon as the food was served, the aroma went straight up their noses.

An Ping was starving too.

Upon seeing the meat served, his chopsticks shot straight for it.

An Hao laughed and blocked his chopsticks with hers, ”You didn’t contribute to buying the groceries this afternoon. Your brother-in-law worked the hardest, so the meat is for him. As for you, just savor the scent as a small perk.”

”Sis... are you really my sister?” An Ping looked at An Hao with puppy-dog eyes.

”Are you really my brother?” An Hao countered.

The entire afternoon, saying that you were gone for a long time, I was also tired from waiting for you in the cold wind for half a day. Who should bear that?

”Hmph, I won’t eat, then!” An Ping snorted coldly and bowed his head to eat the beef in his bowl of noodles. ”I’ll eat this, and you can’t stop me now, can you?”

He had just picked up a slice of beef when An Hao snatched it away, ”If you don’t work, you don’t deserve to eat meat.”

”...” An Ping glared at An Hao as she snatched the meat away, frustrated, ”Sis, that’s kind of bullying!”

”Who’s bullying you? It’s clearly you who are bullying us! Why don’t you go outside and freeze for a bit in this temperature?”

”Sis, I just went to pee, alright? I wasn’t trying to be lazy on purpose,” An Ping defended himself.

”Peeing all the way to the noodle shop? How long did that one pee of yours take?” An Hao turned to ask Qin Jian, ”How long was he gone for?”

Qin Jian glanced at his watch and said, ”Two hours.”

”Listen to that.”

Seeing that An Hao was deliberately trying to deal with him, An Ping felt rebellious. They were just not letting him eat meat, right?

If he was really determined, could she stop him?

Having said that, An Ping quickly took advantage of An Hao’s distraction and grabbed a piece to put in his mouth.

The meat was juicy and richly aromatic, stir-fried with peppers and just a bit spicy – it was absolutely delightful.

An Ping was enjoying himself when he heard An Hao say, ”Qin Jian, keep an eye on him! Don’t let him sneak any more bites!”

Once the little wife issued an order, Qin Jian thoroughly carried it out.

An Ping pursed his lips in defiance. He didn’t believe Qin Jian could really stop him.

Turns out, he had underestimated his brother-in-law. Every time he moved his chopsticks, Qin Jian’s chopsticks would accurately block his.

An Ping was infuriated.

An Hao smiled and passed a slice of meat to Qin Jian’s bowl, ”Here, have some more. It’s cold and you worked hard today. We’re all honest people here, not like some who only know how to slack off.”

”Sure. You should eat more too,” Qin Jian said with a smile as he offered An Hao some meat.

This couple was so sweet and affectionate, it choked An Ping up, ”I’m not eating! You two are bullying me too much!”

With that, he threw his chopsticks down, lifted the cotton curtain of the noodle shop, and left.

”He’s angry,” Qin Jian said, looking at An Hao.

”Never mind him! He doesn’t consider others’ feelings at all! When he’s wrong, he doesn’t know how to admit it. He needs a good lesson!” An Hao said angrily.

Qin Jian nodded in agreement, ”That makes sense.”

Anyway, she had made his little wife terribly tired and freezing today, a punishment was in order...

The two quickly finished their meal, and An Hao had the restaurant make another serving of stir-fried pork with hot peppers. She bought two bowls from the restaurant to pack the dish and tucked it into her carry bag.

Upon leaving the noodle shop, the snow had already covered the ground with a thin layer of silvery gray...
