Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 485: Chapter 485: Inferiority in the Heart

Xu Yinuo sat at another corner of the cafeteria, eating her meal. Ever since Gu Shuangshuang became friends with An Hao, the two of them had a fight, and from then on, they went their separate ways.

She wasn’t someone with a broad mind, the decade of friendship with Gu Shuangshuang wasn’t something she could just let go of easily.

Especially seeing how close Gu Shuangshuang got with An Hao, her heart truly felt an unsavory bitterness, as if someone had brazenly snatched away her love.

At that moment, Xu Yinuo caught sight of Gu Shuangshuang and An Hao’s intimate gestures, and her heart soured. She really wanted to run over and ask Gu Shuangshuang why, why the arrival of An Hao made her so unhesitatingly choose to give her up.

But, Xu Yinuo still held back.

She knew if she went to confront Gu Shuangshuang again, they would definitely end up quarreling.

She didn’t want to argue with Gu Shuangshuang, so she could only stay far away from them.

”Why are you looking at your Gu Shuangshuang again?” Guan Kexin, who was dining with her, noticed Xu Yinuo’s conflicted emotions and teased her, ”You’re just too soft. What? Are you afraid of Gu Shuangshuang or An Hao?”

Xu Yinuo looked up at Guan Kexin for a moment, then lowered her head and silently continued to eat.

Deep down, she felt very uncomfortable, a frustration she couldn’t vent and could only channel into stuffing rice forcefully into her mouth.

”Enough already, are you trying to choke yourself to death with your food? Is it worth it?” Guan Kexin wanted to play along with Xu Yinuo, but deep down, she really looked down on her.

So, her words were always cutting, meant to stab Xu Yinuo into painful agitation, which was when she felt comfortable.

”I’m afraid of you all,” Xu Yinuo said softly, without lifting her head.

”Being friends with you is an embarrassment,” Guan Kexin scornfully regarded Xu Yinuo, arrogantly like a princess, ”I’ve seen girls who are self-conscious, but I’ve really never seen one like you. If An Hao stole my friend, I would definitely have a fierce fight with her, even if it meant tearing off each other’s faces.”

Xu Yinuo kept her head down and said nothing.

Yes, she felt extremely insecure!

Before she met Gu Shuangshuang, she was just the doormat of the compound. But since she befriended Gu Shuangshuang, who had her back, these past few years had been quite decent for her.

She thought her friendship with Gu Shuangshuang could last forever, but unfortunately, she met An Hao in university.

So, to defend her friendship with Gu Shuangshuang, she hoped Gu Shuangshuang wouldn’t get close to a woman who was too controversial and would remain loyal to their friendship.

However, it was precisely because of this that she and Gu Shuangshuang went through countless arguments and eventually became like strangers.

Seeing that Xu Yinuo stopped talking, Guan Kexin pursed her lips, ”I knew you wouldn’t dare; you don’t even have the qualification to confront An Hao.”

”Stop talking,” Xu Yinuo, pained by Guan Kexin’s provocation, pleaded, ”Please!”

”What else can you say besides that line? To be kind is to invite being taken advantage of, to be gentle is to be ridden. You deserve to live under An Hao’s halo, unable to step out. Don’t even mention competing with An Hao for Gu Shuangshuang now. I’m afraid you don’t even have the courage to talk to Gu Shuangshuang anymore,” Guan Kexin relentlessly taunted Xu Yinuo.

She didn’t dare provoke An Hao, but she also disliked seeing An Hao being valued by Yan Ye, so she had to find a scapegoat to push forward.

This is strategy!
