Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 646: Luminous Qi Crystal

”What about you, Changyue?”

Xian Changyue frowned at her brother. ”What do you mean by that?”

”Do you think Iʼm stupid?” Xian Feng responded with a shake of his head. ”Even though Iʼm not that close to Zhang Fei, I am an emperor, and I meet too many people every day. He is clearly interested in you and wants you to be his woman; otherwise, he wouldnʼt have brought you to his private place for training.”

Xian Changyue let out a soft sigh. ”Zhang Fei does want me to be his woman, and he has conveyed it to me loud and clear. However, I have no interest in him, and I have rejected him.”

”Why didnʼt you think about it first?” Shi Qingzhuang asked as she and Xian Xianqin returned to their side. ”You have never had a lover, and Zhang Feiʼs talent is too impressive to be ignored, so I think he is suitable to be your husband.”

Unlike her parents, Xian Xianqin felt strange and awkward listening to them discuss her auntʼs relationship with Zhang Fei. Even though she already knew about his messy relationship, she still felt strange that Xian Changyue also fell into his arms.

Xian Changyue turned to Shi Qingzhuang directly. ”Sister-in-law, do you think talent is that important in choosing my husband? You are right that Zhang Feiʼs talent is impressive, but I would rather have a talentless man as my husband than have to share a husband with dozens of women, one of whom is my niece. My brother is less talented than him, yet you chose him to be your husband, right?”

”Pft! Hahahaha!” Xian Xianqin couldnʼt help but laugh at her auntʼs words.

Unlike his twin sister, Xian Xianwu tried hard to hold back his laughter, especially since their father would punish him if he dared to laugh at him.

If Xian Changyue were not his little sister, Xian Feng would have immediately given her a severe punishment. ”Even though I am less talented than Zhang Fei, I am not less handsome than him, and I am completely loyal to your sister-in-law.”

”See?” Xian Changyue responded with a shake of her head. ”Just like my sister-in-law, I only want to have a husband who is completely loyal to me. If such a man never comes to me, I will live single for the rest of my life, and it will make me much happier.”

Shi Qingzhuang nodded in agreement. ”All right, I wonʼt say anything about your personal life, and you can decide everything yourself. We rarely get together, so letʼs go to Zhang Feiʼs restaurant to have a meal together.”

Xian Feng and the others immediately agreed, and they rushed to the Sky Jade Restaurant, especially since Zhu Yanʼs cooking was too delicious to miss.

”Who attacked him? What is the mysterious personʼs real goal? Could it be that one of Xian Fengʼs aides attacked him? How did they know he was there?” Zhou Xiaochuan seriously considered Zhou Hanlingʼs report in his private room. ”Moreover, the mysterious person only knocked him out of the cold and didnʼt kill him, and the person also didnʼt seem to have done anything to Shenxin.”

*Swoosh*

A black shadow suddenly appeared in front of Zhou Xiaochuan, surprising him. The shadow quickly transformed into a female demon in her twenties with curly jet-black hair and two beetle-like horns on the top of her head. Her face looked scary, with two heart-red eyes and pale skin as ash. Her figure was quite small but sexy, and she was wearing a black and red leather dress.

”Why did you suddenly come here, Xin Yanluo?” The female demon approached him without saying anything and kissed him, but Zhou Xiaochuanʼs expression appeared pained by the kiss. ʼSheʼs absorbing my life force.ʼ

A while later, Xin Yanluo had already moved back and sat down at Zhou Xiaochuanʼs table. ”My master sent me here to inform you that Ximen Changtian and Ximen Gongfu will be leaving for the Star Tower tomorrow.”

”What are they looking for in the Star Tower? What does my queen want from me?” Zhou Xiaochuan questioned her while he swallowed a pill.

”My master heard that Ximen Yan was once controlled by a soul that resided in the Star Tower, and there were still so many mysteries within it, so they went there to check things out.” Zhou Xiaochuan was surprised by Xin Yanluoʼs information. ”She ordered you to go to the two demon kingdoms and take them over, and she will reward you handsomely if you succeed in doing so.”

Zhou Xiaochuan raised his eyebrows. ”Why doesnʼt my queen take over the two demon kingdoms herself? With her strength, she should be able to take over both kingdoms easily.”

”You are my masterʼs slave, and a slave should not question his masterʼs orders.” Zhou Xiaochuan clenched both fists tightly, but he did not dare to refute Xin Yanluo. ”She can assist you in achieving your current position, but she also has the power to destroy you and your family.”

Zhou Xiaochuan nodded at her. ”All right, I will head to the two demon kingdoms a few days after Ximen Changtian and Ximen Gongfu depart, or else they will return to their respective kingdoms if they discover my movements.”

”You can arrange it yourself, as my master is not in a hurry.” Xin Yanluo then checked the entire area of the Zhou Palace. ”Where are Zhou Tai, Zhou Meiling, and Zhou Shenxin?”

”Zhou Tai died in the Star Tower, but I donʼt know the identity of the murderer. Zhou Meiling also disappeared there, and Iʼm trying to find her.” Zhou Xiaochuanʼs explanation caused Xin Yanluo to frown. ”I sent Zhou Shenxin to capture a young man, and I suspect that he is related to Meilingʼs disappearance. However, Iʼm not sure if she will succeed in capturing him, especially since he has a close relationship with a powerful woman.”

”Who are they?”

”The man is named Zhang Fei, but I donʼt have any clear information about his origins,” Zhou Xiaochuan directly informed her. ”He appeared out of nowhere and caused a stir in the Star Tower. Everyone, including Huangfu Shou, was after him now. However, he has a relationship with the Xian royal family, and Xian Xianqin seems to be his woman. The womanʼs name is Feng Yao, and she claims to come from the upper realms, like my queen.”

When she heard the name, Xin Yanluo was shocked and panicked. She immediately informed her master about Feng Yaoʼs presence. ʼThis is really bad! I didnʼt expect that the Phoenix princess was in this realm; our situation would turn serious if she found out about our presence here.ʼ

Zhou Xiaochuan was confused by her reaction, especially since he knew that Xin Yanluo and her master were truly powerful. He wondered in his heart. ʼWhat exactly is Feng Yaoʼs identity? Why does she seem afraid of her?ʼ

”Order Zhou Shenxin to return! Donʼt mess with Zhang Fei!” Xin Yanluo disappeared immediately after saying that.

However, Zhou Xiaochuan did not follow Xin Yanluoʼs words; instead, he immediately prepared to carry out her masterʼs orders.

Meanwhile, Xin Yanluo arrived at a dimly lit place and hurried to a room at the end of the hall, where her master was waiting for her. ”Master!”

The female demon had long silver hair with long bangs covering her forehead, and she had two quite large red horns. She looked like a woman in her twenties, like Xin Yanluo. She had a lovely and cute oval face, two wide eyes with red pupils, a slender but sharp nose, and small silver-covered lips. Her figure was quite tall and voluptuous, and she wore a revealing black dress. Her breasts are quite big at an F-cup, her waist is curved like a Mexican guitar, and her legs are a little too long for her figure.

”Did you order Zhou Xiaochuan to do that, Yanluo?” Xin Yanluo nodded and approached her master, but the female demon pulled her onto the bed and pinned her down. ”How many times have I told you not to address me as a master when we are alone? My name is Ju Yingzhi, and you should address me as Big Sister Yingzhi.”

”Hehe.” Xin Yanluo giggled upon hearing that. ”Iʼm used to calling you my master, and I feel a little weird calling you my big sister. What do you think was Princess Fengʼs motivation for coming to this realm?”

”Zhang Fei.” Ju Yingzhiʼs answer confused Xin Yanluo. ”The Phoenix race has never been close to humans, and only a few of them have good relations with them, such as the Nameless One and the two alchemists. Since Zhou Xiaochuan mentioned that Zhang Fei has a close relationship with Feng Yao, I am confident that she came here because of him, but I am unsure of their reason for staying here.”

Xin Yanluo nodded before asking. ”Should we move to another realm? If Princess Feng finds out about our presence in this realm, she might report us to those demon hunters, and they will hunt us down again. If they manage to find and capture you, you will not be able to free your parents, and you will also die in their hands.”

”No need.” Ju Yingzhi then sat on her bed again. ”The Phoenix race never interferes in such matters, so Iʼm sure that Feng Yao wonʼt report us to them even if she discovers our existence in this realm. Even so, we should still keep our distance and not seek trouble with her, and we will leave this realm once my condition becomes much better than now.”

Xin Yanluo sat beside Ju Yingzhi and touched her chest. ”Are your injuries still serious?”

”Yes.” Ju Yingzhi nodded. ”The demon hunterʼs attack was truly powerful, and he almost killed me that time. If I hadnʼt met you at that river, and you hadnʼt taken me away through that portal, I would have fallen into his hand and died.”

Xin Yanluo released a soft sigh and hugged Ju Yingzhi. ”I really donʼt want you to die, and I will help you as best as I can to recover from your injuries. Are you sure the demon resources in the two demon kingdoms are enough to recover from your injuries?”

”Back then, I used my strength in a severe condition to suppress Zhou Xiaochuan, which caused my injuries to worsen. My injuries have gotten much better in the last few decades, but my current strength is only one-tenth left, so I need more demon resources to recover.” Ji Yingzhi let out a heavy sigh before continuing. ”Unfortunately, this realm is located in the middle realms, and the resources here are not as useful as in the upper realms. Even if I use all the resources in the two demon kingdoms, I wonʼt be able to recover my past strength, so weʼll go to the other realm after I exhaust their demon resources.”

”Haha.” Xin Yanluo laughed. ”Ximen Changtian and Ximen Gongfu still donʼt realize that Zhou Xiaochuan is our pawn, and we ordered him to establish a relationship with them. Since they are going to the Star Tower, they wonʼt be back anytime soon, and you can use their demon resources after that stupid slave takes over their kingdoms.”

Ju Yingzhi turned to Xin Yanluo and rubbed her head. ”Even though I need their demon resources to restore my strength, I wonʼt use them myself, and you can use them too.”

”No.” Xin Yanluo refused. ”My cultivation is almost breaking through to the 3-Moon Divine Manifestation, and my demon rank has reached the queen rank, so I think these two are enough for now. Moreover, your enemies are powerful, and they can find us at any time. Therefore, you should focus on restoring your strength, or you wonʼt be able to fight them. Anyway, I will go and keep an eye on the two demon kingdoms.”

After Xin Yanluo left, Ju Yingzhi took out a pendant with a picture of two people. ”Father! Mother! You two must survive and wait for me to return.”

Ning Menghao looked confused because he couldnʼt find Shang Xiaoyin in the Shang Clanʼs residence. However, Shang Ziyuan had already told him about the three women by his daughterʼs side, so he tried to look for them, but he couldnʼt find Shang Xinyue and Shang Yifen.

Ning Menghao then looked for Shang Jiali and found her with Shang Wuzi. ”Have you two seen Shang Xiaoyin and Shang Baishi?”

”Senior Ning, I donʼt know where the two of them are, and I last saw them about five days ago.” Shang Wuziʼs answer made Ning Menghao frown. ”I donʼt know what happened, but they were acting strange.”

”What do you mean by that?”

Shang Jiali signaled to Shang Wuzi not to say anything, but he did not listen to her. ”Shang Xiaoyin acted like an infatuated woman, and she stayed in Senior Baishiʼs room for several days.”

”Are you serious about that?” Ning Menghao asked in shock.

”Yes.” Shang Wuzi then pointed at Shang Jiali. ”Shang Xiaoyin even asked her and Shang Yifen to serve Senior Baishi, but she refused her request because she is my lover.”

Ning Menghao turned to Shang Jiali, who confirmed it with a helpless nod. ”Senior Ning, Xiaoyin really asked me and Yifen to serve Senior Baishi, but we know his character, so we refused his request.”

”Do you know where they are now?”

Shang Jiali shook her head. ”I last saw Xiaoyin yesterday, and she didnʼt contact me today, so I donʼt know where they went.”

ʼThis is really bad! Shang Ziyuan would be furious if she knew that they were in a romantic relationship!ʼ Ning Menghao hurriedly left their room and returned to the fortress. ʼI should contact my father and discuss this matter with him first.ʼ

”Why did you tell Senior Ning about them?” Shang Jiali asked with an annoyed expression. ”Donʼt you know how serious this matter is?”

Instead, Shang Wuzi pushed Shang Jiali down onto the bed. ”I never liked Senior Baishi because my big sister was one of his victims. Since my family couldnʼt fight against him, I deliberately said that to Senior Ning, and I hoped he would die at Aunt Ziyuanʼs hands.”

”But—”

”Are you worried about Xiaoyin?” Shang Jiali nodded to Shang Wuzi. ”You donʼt need to worry about her. She is Aunt Ziyuanʼs only daughter, so she will never punish, let alone kill her. Instead of thinking about her, it would be better if you thought about our relationship. Shall we do it now?”

”Yeah.”

After they had wandered around for a few hours and bought many things, Zhang Fei brought Tang Zhiyu and Zhong Yan back to the Sky Jade Shop. The two women went straight back to their residence, but he didnʼt go back there and went to Gang Zhishouʼs shop instead.

Meanwhile, Feng Yao chose to take a leisurely stroll in the capital, but her attention was not focused on her surroundings. Instead, her attention was drawn to some other areas far away, and many questions emerged in her mind.

Sometime later, Zhang Fei arrived at the blacksmith shop, and he hurried to meet Gang Zhishou, who had just finished forging a weapon. ”Has Senior Duan contacted you, Old Gang?”

”Yes,” Gang Zhishou nodded. ”My master has finished designing the weapon, and he asked me to tell you about it. Do you want to go there now?”

”In that case, letʼs go there now; I also want to discuss some things with him about blacksmithing.”

”Wait a minute; Iʼll clean up this place first.”

After Gang Zhishou tidied up all the leftover things, Zhang Fei immediately took him to Duan Zhouʼs residence.

Upon their arrival there, Duan Zhou immediately gave the weapon design to Zhang Fei. ”How long can you make the prototype, Senior Duan?”

”I canʼt say for sure.” Duan Zhao then explained to Zhang Fei about the materials he needed to make the weapon. ”The best choice for channeling your Qi into the weapon is Luminous Qi Crystal, but its availability is limited, and its price is extremely high.”

”How much does it cost?”

”Ten million blue jewels.”

ʼDamn! Ten million just for a crystal!.ʼ Zhang Fei then spoke to Duan Zhao. ”Senior, please help me look for other materials first, and I will collect blue jewels to buy the Luminous Qi Crystal.”

”All right.”
