Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 635: Facing His Enemies

Zhang Feiʼs question made Huangfu Lian realize that something was wrong, so he immediately contacted Ming Yunjie and Xuan Cunhua, but to no avail. He then glanced at his fiancée and informed her of the situation. ʼTheyʼve fallen into the trap.ʼ

Ling Long raised her eyebrows slightly. ʼWhat should we do now? Should we run away now? Since they have fallen into the trap, I am sure that people from the Xian Kingdom are hiding around here.ʼ

ʼI will try to talk to him first, and we will run away if my attempt to persuade him fails.ʼ Ling Long immediately agreed to Huangfu Lian because there was no way they could immediately run away, or Huangfu Shou would punish them.

Huangfu Lian looked left and right as he carefully walked over to Zhang Fei, but his returning jade was already in his hands. This way, if the enemies suddenly surrounded them, he could escape directly.

Ling Long remained vigilant, holding her returned jade in her right hand, and her eyes never stopped monitoring the area around them.

Huangfu Lian maintained a distance from Zhang Fei, not approaching him too closely. ”Brother, I came here on behalf of my father, and he offered you to join us. If you are willing to join us, we will give you anything you want, be it women, cultivation resources, or anything else.”

”Does that mean you are willing to give Ling Long to me?” Zhang Feiʼs question caused Huangfu Lian to stiffen, and his face darkened. ”I havenʼt been in this realm for too long, but I already have a deep understanding of the situation. Do you think I am that stupid to join forces with a person who prefers to control other people? Do you think I didnʼt know that Huangfu Shou wanted to control me in order to fulfill his ambition of taking over the Xian Kingdom? Your fiancée is not bad, but she is just ordinary in my eyes. Regarding cultivation resources, I believe your Huangfu Kingdom is too small to meet my needs.”

”You—”

”You what?” Zhang Fei immediately took out the moonlit whisper sword and pointed it at Huangfu Lian. ”Didnʼt you come here to capture me? How about we fight now? If you donʼt dare to fight me, I will regard you as a coward who can only hide in Huangfu Shouʼs shadow.”

”Bastard! I offered you such a good opportunity, but you insulted me instead. Since you are courting death, I will kill you right now.” Huangfu Lian then took out a long black sword and dashed to attack him, but Zhang Fei suddenly disappeared from his sight. ʼShit!ʼ

Huangfu Lian, with his senses expanded to the surrounding area, circled his spot to search for Zhang Feiʼs whereabouts. However, his eyes widened when he looked at Ling Long, especially since he was already behind her. ”Longʼer! Behind you!”

Hearing that, Ling Long immediately jumped forward, spun around in mid-air, and kicked at Zhang Fei.

Zhang Fei grabbed her right leg and was about to throw her backward, but a faint gleam suddenly flashed across Ling Longʼs eyes. Her technique caused him to lose consciousness for a split second, and the system immediately dispelled it.

”Heh!” Zhang Fei snorted and wanted to slam the shocked Ling Long to the ground.

However, Ling Long immediately stomped her left leg on the ground, pushed her body up, and tried to kick Zhang Fei once again.

Zhang Fei caught Ling Longʼs left leg, and he used the demon absorption on her for a brief moment before throwing her toward Huangfu Lian, who was already quite close to them.

”Argh!” Ling Long let out a low cry.

”Longʼer!” Huangfu Lian immediately flew over and caught Ling Long before landing in the distance. ”Are you okay?”

Ling Long nodded and warned Huangfu Lian. ”Be careful! That guy has a strange ability! He can absorb my Qi.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei laughed and used his cloud illusion steps, and his five illusion figures immediately surrounded them. ”Huangfu Lian, your cultivation is indeed far above mine, but you are just a prince who has never directly participated in actual combat, and you have always lived under the protection of Huangfu Shou. Your fiancée is also inexperienced in battles, and she relies on her technique, so you guys will not be able to defeat me.”

ʼMy technique has no effect on him!ʼ

Huangfu Lian scowled in response to Ling Longʼs revelation, but Zhang Feiʼs illusions unexpectedly advanced toward them at the same time. The two launched their attacks immediately, but their attacks penetrated their bodies. Before they could react, the real him had already moved behind them and slashed their backs.

*Slash... Slash...*

”Argh!”

”Ugh!”

Huangfu Lian and Ling Long screamed in pain as they staggered forward, and blood flowed from the slash wounds on their backs. They immediately used their qi to stop the bleeding and turned to face Zhang Fei, but he had already disappeared from that place again.

Feng Yao and Xian Changyue, who were hiding in the distance, couldnʼt hold back their laughter as they watched Zhang Fei toy with Huangfu Lian and Ling Long. After all, his cultivation was far below theirs, but his speed surpassed both of them. No matter how strong and how effective their techniques are, both of them are useless if they canʼt see the movement of their enemy.

Zhang Fei slashed the back of Huangfu Lianʼs knees until they were bleeding profusely, causing him to fall on his knees and scream in pain once more. ”Argh!”

”Prince!” Ling Long quickly took a pill from her storage ring for Huangfu Lian, but the hongxi dagger suddenly moved and slashed the back of her palm, causing it to bleed. ”Argh!”

”Ahh!” Ling Long screamed in shock when her dress was suddenly torn to pieces, leaving two white cloths covering her two private parts. As she endured the pain in her back and the back of her palm, she instinctively covered both parts of her body with her hands. ʼThis bastard! He doesnʼt know how to treat a woman!ʼ

Huangfu Lian was infuriated by Zhang Feiʼs actions, yet he was still unable to see his movements. Moreover, the slash wounds behind his knees and back were very deep, causing him a lot of pain.

”Is this all you are capable of?” Zhang Fei asked as he appeared a little distance away from their position. ”Honestly, I was initially afraid of you two, but you guys have disappointed me.”

*Swoosh*

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei raised his eyebrows as a huge Qi arrow shot toward him, but he immediately grabbed the hilt of his sword and swung it forward.

In a few seconds, Zhang Feiʼs sword Qi collided with the Qi arrow, but it destroyed his attack. Even so, he wasnʼt too worried about it and dodged backward, causing it to strike his previous location, leaving a fairly large hole there.

A man in black suddenly appeared in front of Huangfu Lian and Ling Long to protect them, and his eyes glared viciously at Zhang Fei. Without saying anything, he waved his hand, and dozens of Qi arrows shot towards him.

As he read the manʼs status, Zhang Fei casually dodged the Qi arrows one by one. ”4-Moon Divine Expansion Realm, huh? You should be the sect master of the Huangfu Imperial Sect, right, Huangfu Ziyuan?”

”No wonder my brother wanted to get you so badly; it turns out you are indeed extraordinary. Even with my cultivation, I canʼt land my attack on you.” Huangfu Ziyuan immediately released his aura and suppressed Zhang Fei, forcing him to kneel on the ground.

”Hahaha!” Zhang Fei laughed out loud as he stabbed the moonlit whisper sword into the ground, causing Huangfu Ziyuan to frown.

Huangfu Lian and Ling Long, who were still sitting on the ground, were completely shocked to see that Zhang Fei could still act like that under Huangfu Ziyuanʼs pressure. ʼMy uncle/my sect master is the second strongest person in our kingdom, but he is not at all overwhelmed by the pressure.ʼ

Zhang Fei smiled casually at their shocked expressions. ”I am indeed too weak compared to your cultivation level, and I cannot possibly fight you with my current cultivation, but you are underestimating me if you think you can suppress me with your aura. Your aura pressure is indeed powerful, and other people might feel pressured by it, but it is useless against me.”

”Uncle! No need to talk too much! Capture that bastard now!” Huangfu Lian shouted.

Huangfu Ziyuan simply nodded and moved toward Zhang Fei, who still looked calm without the slightest worry on his face. Just as he arrived in front of him, a tremendous pressure immediately pressed him from above, causing him to fall to the ground directly. ʼShit! Where does this pressure come from?ʼ

ʼWhat the hell!ʼ Huangfu Lian and Ling Long screamed with shock in their hearts as soon as they saw Huangfu Ziyuan slumped on the ground.

”Do you really think that Iʼm that stupid to face them both by myself?” Zhang Fei asked as he pulled the moonlit whisper sword out of the ground. ”I knew from the start that Huangfu Shou would never let his eldest son go into the enemyʼs lair by himself, but I didnʼt expect that he would send you to protect him.”

Feng Yao instantly appeared beside Zhang Fei, shocking the three of them. Huangfu Lian and Ling Long were even more shocked when two hands gripped their shoulders, instantly sealing their cultivation.

ʼXian Changyue!ʼ Huangfu Lian and Ling Long screamed in their hearts as soon as they looked back.

”What do you want to do to this man?” Feng Yao asked as she looked down at the shocked Huangfu Ziyuan.

Xian Changyue also asked Zhang Fei. ”What about these two people?”

”Since Huangfu Shou sent them to us, we must use his gift well, right?” Zhang Fei immediately squatted in front of Huangfu Ziyuan and touched his head.

”Argh!” Huangfu Ziyuan screamed in pain as soon as Zhang Fei used the demon absorption on him. ”Argh!” ʼFuck! What kind of technique did he use on me? How did he absorb both my cultivation and life force?ʼ

As soon as she sensed Zhang Feiʼs cultivation rapidly increasing, Feng Yao raised her eyebrows, immediately recognizing his crazy actions. On the contrary, she sensed that Huangfu Ziyuanʼs cultivation was starting to decline, and her face also slowly paled. ʼWhat an overbearing technique! Is he thinking about using his cultivation to break through to the next stage?ʼ

Huangfu Lian and Ling Long didnʼt know what Zhang Fei did to Huangfu Ziyuan, but they knew that it was definitely not a good thing, and they grew even more frightened as they listened to his painful screams.

Xian Changyue, who had witnessed Zhang Fei using some of his abilities, could only shake her head. ʼThis kid is truly insane! He repeatedly used shortcut methods to improve himself! I worry that his addiction to using his abilities could lead him down a heretical path.ʼ

Huangfu Ziyuanʼs screams echoed in the area for some time, until Mei abruptly warned Zhang Fei. [Master, I think thatʼs enough. Your cultivation is still not completely stable after you broke through to the 2-Star Earth Realm a week ago, and it will become even more unstable if you break through to the 3-Star now.]

[Ding]

[You gained 2,500,000 Qi from Huangfu Ziyuan.]

”Phew.” Zhang Fei smiled in satisfaction with the notification, especially since he only needed a little more Qi to break through to the 3-Star Earth Realm, and he could do so immediately after his cultivation was fully stable. ”Senior Changyue, please bring the two of them here.”

In an instant, Xian Changyue had already brought the frightened Huangfu Lian and Ling Long to Zhang Feiʼs side. ”What are your plans for them?”

”See for yourself.” Zhang Fei directly used his soul manipulation ability to forcefully pull Huangfu Ziyuan and Huangfu Lianʼs souls out of their bodies, causing Ling Long to tremble in shock.

Feng Yao and Xian Changyue were also shocked to see Zhang Fei do that, and they were even more shocked when he replicated the two menʼs souls before fusing them with each otherʼs souls. Additionally, he didnʼt forget to implant his demon slave mark into their souls, but he didnʼt use his memory manipulation on them.

After everything was done, Zhang Fei returned Huangfu Ziyuan and Huangfu Lianʼs souls into their bodies. ”This way, their lives will be tied to each other, and both of them will die if one of them dies.”

”Isnʼt that the same as what you did to Ximen Yan and Ximen Yueliang?” Xian Changyue asked.

”Yes.” Zhang Fei nodded at her. ”Isnʼt that interesting? We can kill two birds with one stone, so we donʼt have to waste time killing them.”

”Only you can do such a thing.” Xian Changyue then pointed at Ling Long, whose expression had turned pale. ”Are you going to treat her like Zhou Meiling?”

”No.” Zhang Fei then lifted Ling Longʼs chin. ”Teach me the Heavenly Marionette Arts, or you will suffer the same fate as them.”

”I... I canʼt teach you that technique.” Ling Longʼs refusal made Zhang Fei frown. ”That... technique is tied to my demon bloodline! So... so I canʼt teach it to you! Even... even if you can learn it, you still canʼt use it without my demon bloodline.”

”Some techniques are just like that, so you canʼt force this little girl to teach her techniques to you.” Zhang Fei immediately looked up at Feng Yao. ”If you want that technique so badly, you must extract and implant her demon bloodline into your body, but she will die. Moreover, not all bloodlines will match our bodies, and her demon bloodline will not necessarily be compatible with your body.”

”I think you shouldnʼt do that.” Zhang Fei turned to Xian Changyue. ”Ling Longʼs grandfather is a loyal person of the Huangfu Kingdom, and he has served the royal family since the time of Huangfu Shouʼs father. Moreover, his abilities are too mysterious, and he is actually stronger than his emperor. Besides, we still have no information about that mysterious person, so we should hold back for the time being, and we will act after we have accurate information.”

”Youʼre right.” Zhang Fei then opened a portal to the Yin-Yang Space and sent Ling Long inside, leaving his fifth clone to take care of her. He then ordered Huangfu Ziyuan and Huangfu Lian. ”You two should wait in this kingdom for a few days, and you guys should know what to tell Huangfu Shou, right?”

Huangfu Ziyuan and Huangfu Lian did not say anything and nodded to Zhang Fei.

”Thatʼs good.” Zhang Fei immediately stood up and led the two women into the capital. ”We will go to the Xian Palace to meet the other two women.”

Xian Changyue asked him. ”What do you want from them? The two women are disciples of the two powerful sects in the Huangfu Kingdom, and their sects are overly aggressive. If you kill them, we will face more enemies.”

”I have no intention of killing them.” Zhang Fei then told her. ”I heard that the Black Fang Sect has the best concealment technique, so I wanted that technique for my subordinates.”

”I see.” Xian Changyue nodded in understanding. ”You are right, and you can force Xuan Cunhua to give you the technique.”

After the three of them left, Huangfu Lian immediately took out two healing pills, swallowed them straight away, and meditated to stop the bleeding.

With great difficulty, Huangfu Ziyuan took a pill to restore his qi, especially since Zhang Fei had previously absorbed too much and significantly depleted it.

After their conditions recovered sufficiently, Huangfu Ziyuan took Huangfu Lian away, but they did not enter the Xian Capital. Instead, he took his nephew to a city a little far from the capital, waiting for Zhang Feiʼs next order.

Meanwhile, Xian Changyue has taken Zhang Fei and Feng Yao to the prison, where Old Feng locks up Xuan Cunhua and Ming Yunjie.

Zhang Fei entered their room and woke up Xuan Cunhua, who had become frightened upon realizing her situation. ”Give me your concealment technique, or I will make you suffer more because you tried to hurt Xian Xianqin.”
