The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 177: Chapter 177: I Said, I’ll Marry Her

Su Yaogeng hurriedly arrived at the Prince Yu Mansion, just as Su Yu was returning from Baihua Garden, feeling slightly surprised upon hearing that Su Yaogeng had come.

”Imperial Sister, is there something you need from me?” Su Yu invited Su Yaogeng into the living room and asked.

Su Yaogeng nodded, ”Yun Peng, how is Qiao’er doing now?”

Su Yu was somewhat caught off guard, as Su Yaogeng suddenly mentioned Su Xingyan, and replied, ”A letter came a while ago saying that another victory has been won. Ever since Qiao’er took over Beiguan these past two years, it has been much more stable.”

Somewhat puzzled, he added, ”Why does the Imperial Sister ask about Qiao’er?”

Su Yaogeng did not answer him but instead asked, ”Has he ever mentioned to you about any girl he has taken a liking to? For years, Brother has never arranged anything for Qiao’er, so naturally, it wouldn’t occur to him. Qiao’er is closest to you, so if there’s anything, he would tell you first.”

Upon hearing this, Su Yu glanced at Su Yaogeng and instantly understood her intentions.

If his guess was correct, Su Yaogeng had come to him to sound him out, to see if it was possible to marry Jing’er to Qiao’er so that rumors could be easily blocked. Given Qiao’er’s character and ability, he would undoubtedly not mistreat Jing’er in the future.

This was the best way to both keep the child and cover up from prying eyes while doing right by Han Jing.

If Su Yaogeng had approached him about this before he made his decision, he might have really considered it.

But now that he had decided to marry Han Jing, there was naturally no room for further discussion.

”Jing’er doesn’t need to marry Qiao’er, I’ll marry her.” Su Yu did not intend to conceal his thoughts from Su Yaogeng; since he had decided to marry Han Jing, he would naturally solve all the subsequent problems.

Su Yaogeng suddenly stood up from the chair, shocked, and said, ”What did you say?”

”I said, I’ll marry her.” Su Yu calmly repeated.

Su Yaogeng tried hard to see some sign of joking on Su Yu’s face, but she actually knew that Su Yu would never joke about such a matter.

But...

Su Yaogeng shook her head, ”No, no matter what, you two are nominally...”

Then she suddenly asked, ”Did you, did you find out something?”

Su Yaogeng reacted quickly; Su Yu would not say such words without reason, as this was indeed a significant matter. But then, how did he know about Jing’er’s affairs?

In fact, speaking of it, Su Yaogeng admired Su Yu greatly. If Su Yu could step up and be this shield, no matter what malicious rumors circulated, they dared not be thrown at Jing’er. But this was simply too ridiculous!

”I know everything.” Su Yu looked at Su Yaogeng, ”If you speak of relations, Imperial Sister, you should know, even if Jing’er is your biological daughter, there’s nothing wrong with me marrying her. Jing’er is not the only one unrelated by blood to the Imperial Family.”

Su Yaogeng...

Su Yu was not her biological brother, and she certainly knew that he had no blood relations with the Imperial Family — Brother knew too. She even knew what Su Yu’s status and position were in the Spirit Cultivation Realm. That is why both she and Brother allowed Su Yu to act recklessly in Hanjing City without restraint, because he could not possibly threaten the throne over such trivial power.
