CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 2184: Chapter 2192: I’ll Sleep Immediately

”It was James Carter who kicked her out of the film crew,” James Black found Jane Sampson’s choice of words amusing.

Kicked.

Heh.

Quite fitting.

He said, ”Last night, he saw Stella Carter’s apology in the group and immediately told the director to have her leave. Knowing it was James Carter who drove her out, she didn’t even dare to mention the penalty and packed her stuff and left early in the morning.”

If it weren’t related to Jillian Carter, James Carter’s protection of Jane Sampson would be thunderous.

Even though James Carter said previously that he would casually look after a relative from the same clan, once Stella Carter provoked Jane Sampson, James Carter mercilessly kicked her out of the crew.

”My brother?” Jane Sampson thought for a moment and found it quite incredible, ”When did my brother become so hot-tempered?”

Seeing James Carter talking a few steps away with a minor role, Jane Sampson indeed found it surprising, not having seen this stubborn side of James Carter before.

”Maybe recently,” James Black raised an eyebrow, having heard that last night Joseph Shaw drove back to the guard team alone, so, did he and Jillian Carter have a fight?

A surprise gain.

James Black, in a good mood, gently pressed Jane Sampson’s restless head onto his knee, ”Yesterday was so exhausting, take a rest during lunch break, even 15 minutes would help.”

Seeing how quickly Jane Sampson fell asleep on the pillow last night, James Black, feeling sorry, thought about taking her back to the Capital Province to cherish her.

”When you wake up, I’ll buy you a double-layer milk curd,” James Black coaxed Jane Sampson.

”I’m going to sleep right away!” The sudden happiness nearly moved Jane Sampson to tears.

Seeing Jane Sampson quickly close her eyes, James Black couldn’t help but smile, chuckling softly.

Just like a child, so easy to coax.

When they have a daughter, he hopes she will also be this easy to coax.

Jane Sampson soon fell asleep, while James Black gently fanned her to keep away annoying flies and mosquitoes.

James Black’s care for Jane Sampson was meticulous, making others envious.

As everyone witnessed James Black’s tenderness towards Jane Sampson, the rumors gradually faded away.

However, the news about Jane Sampson’s injury started spreading across the internet realm.

Many in the film crew privately speculated it was Stella Carter who, harboring resentment, leaked the information.

The previous night, Stella Carter publicly apologized to Jane Sampson in the drama crew group, and the next morning, she left the crew. It was clear she must have offended Jane Sampson and was driven out.

”I also think Stella Carter must be the one who spread this. That day, to investigate this matter, Mr. Black asked quite a few people. Many saw her squatting and crying after being intimidated by Mr. Black. If it wasn’t her, then who else could it be?”

”And, those who previously maliciously spread rumors about Jane Sampson, Mr. Black found out everything with great insight and got those people, too. I heard they were from the makeup team, and after that day, no one from that team came again. They were all implicated because of her.”

”That Stella Carter, who previously acted all high and mighty as a member of the Carter Family, claiming to be James Carter’s cousin, well, when something happened, she still had to pack up and leave. Did her Brother James Carter even say a word for her?”

”You might not know this, but it was Mr. Carter who told her to leave. For being cousins, she was ruining someone’s reputation behind their back while Jane Sampson’s husband was still in the crew. Did she not consider her own weight and influence?”
