CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 2181: Chapter 2189: Tell Her

”Let’s see if you wrap up filming, maybe you’ll gain a couple of pounds.” James noticed yesterday that Jane didn’t seem to like packaged meals very much; she only ate one-third of the meal before she started fiddling with the rice in the box with her chopsticks.

The vegetables here are quite sweet, and the quick meal veggies generally have sugar and some bean sauce which Jane doesn’t like.

James initially thought today’s meal would come from a different place, but he learned at noon that the film crew had an ongoing cooperation with that dining hall, so every day they got their meals delivered from there.

James opened up the meals and handed the tableware to Jane, ”This boxed meal, eat as much as you can, try to finish half, if not just give it to me.”

Jane glanced at the vegetables, eyes full of delight, ”I should be able to meet your expectations.”

Then, Jane lowered her head and took a bite of rice, her eyes scanning the surroundings before asking Coco, ”Have you guys noticed it’s kind of weird, the crew here seems to be deliberately avoiding us when they pass by? Just now, I saw someone who was exaggerating, almost sticking close to the wall.”

”Really? Maybe it’s too hot, so they prefer hugging the walls.” Coco Edwards made up nonsense with wide eyes.

No need to ask, it’s obvious these people were definitely talked to by Jane’s Sugar Daddy this afternoon.

When James put on a cold face, even Jane would chicken out; who else would have Jane’s courage, you know?

”Your explanation is so silly.” Jane chuckled softly with the lunchbox in hand, leaning on James’s shoulder, and turned to look at him, ”Were they scared by you? I heard Jillian was scared to tears by you this afternoon? What did you do to scare her like that?”

”I’ll tell you when we get home this evening.” James didn’t plan on keeping these things from Jane, but such matters aren’t the kind you casually talk about.

James Carter arrived back here over seven o’clock, and after he returned, he touched up his makeup, and the two resumed work.

James saw that Jane wouldn’t be okay for a little while, so he first left the film set and went back inside the car.

He took out his mobile phone, found Joseph Shaw’s number, and dialed it.

Due to the Carter Family connection over there, he had saved Joseph’s number previously, but had never called.

Meanwhile, Joseph Shaw had also finished a meal with Jillian, and upon hearing the mobile phone ringing, Joseph took it out and saw it unexpectedly.

”Hello.” Joseph answered the call, ”James?”

”Joseph, please relay to your wife Jillian Carter, considering the face of the Carter Family, and yours, I’m giving Jillian one last chance; if she troubles Jane again, I will deal with her, and then neither you nor the Carter Family will be able to protect her.”

James’s voice was cold, ”Tell Jillian that Jane is just so lucky, she can’t die, even being kidnapped, she could return safely. Unless Jillian can guarantee that her words won’t reach my ears, otherwise, she speaks a word, I’ll retaliate for Jane.”

It’s one word, not one sentence.

”Also, inform Jillian, everyone knows how her West Crossing was established, the Carter Family’s money is not for her taking.”

After speaking, James hung up the phone and then sent the recording he traced in the afternoon to Joseph.

This was a recording secretly captured while Jillian and Stella were talking.
