CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1800: Chapter 1808: She Didn’t Come

”Sister Bell, Mr. Carter is here, they are waiting downstairs for Little Jane,” Athena Bell’s assistant came in from outside and said to a few people.

”Hmm, Coco, let’s go, don’t keep Mr. Carter waiting too long.” Jane Sampson called out to Coco Edwards, then waved at Rock Bell, linked arms with Coco, and entered the elevator.

It’s just attending an event, only for a while, and they’re taking James Carter’s car, so Jane Sampson only brought an assistant, Coco Edwards, along.

After getting in the car, Jane Sampson waved and greeted James Carter.

Seeing Jane Sampson today, James Carter was slightly stunned, ”You rarely wear such bright colors, but it suits you, very beautiful.”

”Mr. Carter, you look very handsome today too!” Jane Sampson glanced at James Carter, who indeed looked good in his white formal wear today.

”Hmm, is this mutual flattery in the business?” James Carter was amused by Jane Sampson, as his wardrobe style was always consistent. Privately, he dressed more comfortably and casually, but for such events, he typically wore formal wear.

His formal wear only slightly varied in color, with even the style not changing much.

To those unaware, it might seem like he’s always wearing the same clothes.

The event venue is at the sports center, and on a summer evening, it’s quite cool.

Almost at the location, the driver spoke up to remind the two they could prepare to get out, which prompted Jane Sampson to remember to ask James Carter, ”Mr. Carter, isn’t your sister coming today?”

”She didn’t receive an invitation.” James Carter smiled at Jane Sampson, ”So, you don’t have to worry about running into her.”

Jane Sampson giggled, nodded, she had indeed been worried about encountering Jillian Carter just now.

Or it’s not exactly fear, but reluctance to tangle with Jillian Carter further.

The ”President’s Wife Is Not A Human” web drama has aired, and Jillian Carter’s acting has been harshly criticized, and as a fellow female lead in this drama, Jane Sampson couldn’t avoid being compared to Jillian Carter.

Naturally, Jillian Carter was on the losing side, so Jane Sampson wasn’t keen on encountering Jillian Carter at this time, who knows if Jillian Carter would start an argument with her.

After Jane Sampson and James Carter got out of the car, they still needed to take an organizer-arranged car to the red carpet area, while Coco took Jane Sampson’s stuff and James Carter’s assistant went ahead to wait for them inside the venue.

Jane Sampson and James Carter didn’t arrive very early, the red carpet already had many artists.

However, when the car with Jane Sampson and James Carter stopped in front of the red carpet, and the host in front announced their arrival, the fans nearby immediately screamed, repeatedly shouting the names of Jane Sampson and James Carter; the sound waves were deafening.

It almost drowned out the host’s voice on the microphone in the front.

After tidying her skirt hem and confirming everything was in order, Jane Sampson then opened the car door and stepped out, standing by to wait for James Carter, then linked arms with him as they slowly walked onto the red carpet.

”Ah! Sampson! Little Jane!”

”Monkey King of Sampson! Monkey King of Sampson!”

”James Carter! James Carter!”

The fans’ shouts were so loud that almost nothing else could be heard, and it was the first time Jane Sampson was this close to her fans, so she couldn’t help but glance more in their direction.

To her surprise, this simple action drew another round of frenzied screams from the fans.
