CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1751: Chapter 1759: How Many Pounds Heavier

James Carter knew in his heart that Jillian Carter was not suited to be an actor.

Just like acting and singing, both require talent.

While Jane Sampson still had some time, James Carter took out his mobile phone and showed Jane the changes he made and hummed them to her.

Jane’s more than half an hour’s rest was entirely spent discussing this song.

Unfortunately, when James left and Jane returned to her filming spot, they still hadn’t come up with a suitable song title.

At half past midnight, after wrapping up, Jane returned to the hotel and dashed straight into the bath room to soak in a bath. When she finished her facial mask and skincare, she continued to mutter that the spring in Capital Province was like a devil.

When she came out, Coco Edwards and Harry Little Money were using the scale in the corner to weigh themselves.

Harry groused that she’d gained three catties since joining Jane on the filming set a few days ago because she was constantly eating the snacks Coco had brought back from iInternational for her.

Coco’s weight hadn’t changed much. Ever since a major weight loss due to illness, her weight remained about the same without needing to diet, and it’s always been this way.

”Let me try weighing myself.” Jane bounced over excitedly, ”If I gained weight, it’ll be perfect for James Black to bring me some rewards when he visits the set tomorrow.”

Saying this, Jane, in her slippers, was about to step onto the scale, but just before she did, she pulled her foot back. Her eyes darted sneakily toward the cloakroom, then she mumbled to wait and dashed into the cloakroom.

When she emerged, she wore thick, plush snow boots, and pantyhose with extra lining. As for her jacket, Coco could tell at a glance that Jane was wearing at least three layers on her body.

The outermost layer was a green coat, the super big, thick type of padded jacket.

Inside the green coat was a long cashmere coat, and as Coco knew, Jane’s coat was not something you could take lightly.

Inside the cashmere coat was a knit jacket, and something you could wear at this time of year was naturally not thin.

Oh, and she also had a scarf wrapped around her neck.

Seeing Jane also glancing at the hot water bag on the table, Coco held her head, ”Jane, you’ve got to be kidding~”

”True.” Jane mulled it over seriously, decided to forgo the hot water bag, and hopped back to the scale, taking a deep breath, holding it in, and then stepped onto it.

”Even if you suffocate, you won’t gain much weight. Do you think you can inhale several catties of air with one breath?” Coco felt she could hardly bear to watch.

Only then did Jane slowly let out her breath, grinning at Coco, then lowered her head to look at the scale’s weight.

Instantly, she went giddy with delight.

”Coco, look quickly! I’ve gained a whole five catties! Five catties!” Jane shouted to Harry, who was laughing so hard she couldn’t stand, ”Quick, give me my mobile phone from the table, I need to record this for James Black! Tomorrow I want five rewards!”

Harry responded and handed Jane’s mobile phone over to her.

Jane immediately turned on the camera recording as she got it in her hand, stepping off the scale and saying, ”James, I’ve gained weight, look, I’ll weigh myself now to show you.”

As she spoke and recorded, she stepped back onto the scale again, squatting down to hide her snow boots, and then directly recorded the number on the scale, continuing, ”James, look, I’ve gained over five catties, so I’ll round up for now, which means you’ll need to bring five rewards for me tomorrow!”
