CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1779: Chapter 1787: Truly Beautiful

”Jane.” James Carter called out to Jane Sampson as soon as he saw her come in. He waited for Jane to smile and walk over to him before introducing her, ”This is my grandpa, and this is my grandma. Both of them graduated from this school, so today, I’m accompanying them back to see the school and attend this event.”

Jane Sampson hadn’t expected these two elderly to be of such significant stature, so she quickly bowed to them and greeted, ”Hello, Grandpa Carter, Grandma Carter, I am Jane Sampson.”

After speaking, Jane took a glance over at Old Sir Carter, feeling that ever since she ran towards Mr. Carter, Old Sir Carter had been examining her with a very peculiar gaze.

Even Old Madam Carter noticed Old Sir Carter’s gaze. She nudged her husband’s hand and asked, ”What’s going on?”

Old Sir Carter came to his senses, smiled at his wife, and said, ”Just now, when I saw her running over, it felt like the first time I saw you. This little lass, upon closer look, resembles you a bit.”

”Is Grandpa Carter complimenting me because I look as pretty as Grandma Carter?” Jane Sampson bashfully lowered her head and touched her nose tip, ”Grandma Carter, this cheongsam looks so good on you, really beautiful.”

Even someone as typically stern as Granny Carter couldn’t help but smile slightly at the corner of her lips upon hearing Jane’s words.

She thought in her heart, no wonder her grandson could be friends with this girl. The girl is pretty, and above all, she’s very pleasant to interact with.

The words she said just now, initially, sounded like flattery, but the tone in which she stated them was genuinely refreshing, making one feel she was sincere. Coupled with her slightly shy mannerisms, it’s hard for anyone meeting her for the first time to find her displeasing.

”This young friend is quite interesting.” Old Madam Carter glanced towards James Carter.

She regretted inwardly, a pity she is married.

James Carter understood Old Madam Carter’s remark about being interesting, indicating that the elderly had a good first impression of Jane Sampson, hence the compliment.

Old Sir Carter and his wife, being habitually stern, providing such a compliment was proof that Jane Sampson indeed was a girl that made Old Madam Carter feel comfortable.

The few of them didn’t talk for long because Jane Sampson was soon sought out by the school leader.

Actually, Jane Sampson’s role in the anti-drug publicity didn’t involve much; most of the time, she stood there like a mascot, listening to the host and occasionally chiming in.

Jane Sampson performed her duties earnestly, without showing a hint of impatience. When the host engaged her in conversation, Jane Sampson was able to smoothly follow all the topics.

Including some of her insights on the anti-drug topic, she could articulate them clearly.

Sitting in the front row back stage, Old Sir Carter gently nodded to James Carter and said, ”This girl is not bad. It’s evident that after taking on the role as the anti-drug campaign ambassador, she did her homework after going home.”

Choosing a star as an anti-drug campaign ambassador was also aimed at utilizing the star’s public influence to draw more attention to the issue of drug prevention.

In past university campaigns, there were instances where the promotions did not go as well as expected.

However, this time, after witnessing this anti-drug campaign, Old Sir Carter felt satisfied with the campaign ambassador for the first time.
