CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1796: Chapter 1804: I Like to Eat

James Black’s good attitude towards James Carter comes from James Carter’s attitude towards Jane Sampson.

Regardless of romantic feelings, since James Carter and Jane Sampson met, James Carter has greatly helped Jane Sampson and taken care of her quite a bit, so James Black is not stingy in having a good attitude towards those who are good to Jane Sampson.

This is why James Black invited James Carter for a late-night snack.

James Carter glanced at Jane Sampson, who was buried in James Black’s arms, her little hand firmly holding James Black’s hand, smiled gently, shook his head, ”No, it’s been a long day, I want to go back early to rest, let’s arrange for another day.”

The fatigue was just an excuse; mainly, he didn’t want to be the electric light bulb between the couple, seeing Jane Sampson holding James Black without letting go was enough to know how much Jane Sampson missed James Black, her husband.

James Carter did not disturb the couple’s affectionate preference.

James Black grunted, said let’s arrange for another day, then reached out to receive Jane Sampson’s suitcase from Coco Edwards’ hand, letting Coco Edwards and Harry Little Money head back first, as the studio’s car was already waiting in the parking lot outside for them.

Only after James Carter also got into the car did James Black take Jane Sampson’s hand and get into his car.

He put the stuff away and settled into the driver’s seat while Jane Sampson was buckling her seatbelt with her head down, excitedly asking James Black, ”What are we having for a late-night snack?”

”When we get back, I’ll cook you some noodles,” said James Black, ”It’s late, once we’re home you can take a bath, I’ll cook the noodles, and we can rest early.”

”Ah?” Jane Sampson was surprised, why if Mr. Carter wasn’t having a late-night snack with them, did she not get to eat?

”Tomato beef noodles?” Jane Sampson pouted, glancing over at James Black.

”Got a problem with that?” James Black started the car and drove out of the airport.

Jane Sampson puffed up her cheeks, hummed a bit, not daring to raise objections, fearing that if she did, she wouldn’t even get the tomato beef noodles.

It’s quite late now, with not many cars on the road, and in less than an hour, the couple were downstairs at their home building.

Usually asleep at this time, Jane Sampson was particularly energetic and chatted all the way back with James Black.

She spoke happily, and James Black listened patiently, not once finding her noisy.

Once out of the car, Jane Sampson directly linked arms with James Black’s hand that wasn’t pulling the suitcase, her head lightly tilting to rest on James Black’s shoulder.

Ever since she exited the airport until now, whether in the excitement of running towards him, or in chattering nonstop along the way, and now insisting on clinging to his arm after getting out of the car.

Every act expresses how much she misses the man beside her, and how attached she is to this man.

James Black’s lips curved up softly, while in the elevator, he lowered his head to kiss her hair, his laughter gentle, ”Happy to be back?”

”Just a little~” Jane Sampson giggled, but her hand clinging to him showed no sign of loosening.

Stubborn as a duck, clearly missing badly, yet refusing to admit it.

James Black knows Jane Sampson too well; her ”just a little” is often meant to be heard as ”a whole lot”.

Entering the home doorway, James Black first went to the bedroom to run a bath for Jane Sampson, waiting for her to go in for her bath, then went around to the kitchen to prepare the late night snack for her.

After Jane Sampson had a comfortable bath, she directly sat with her mobile phone by the dinner table, like an emperor waiting to eat.

Only when the fragrance wafted from the kitchen did she finally give in, enthusiastically running to the kitchen door and hollering at James Black inside, ”Add more beef, I love it.”
