CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1649: Chapter 1657: Made Public

The call came from an unfamiliar number, and James answered, saying hello.

”Hello, are you Jane Sampson’s husband, Mr. James Black?” The caller sounded like a teenage boy.

Listening to the stranger clearly stating both his and Jane Sampson’s identities, James did not immediately respond.

”Mr. Black, hello, I am the lawyer entrusted by Old Madam Sampton. Besides her will, she left some stuff with me, among which is a video she asked me to record for her before she passed away.”

The caller was a senior lawyer. ”Old Madam Sampton told me during her lifetime that when I feel it is time to make this video public, I should call and contact you. If you think there’s no issue, I will release the video.”

The lawyer paused before continuing, ”The video content is related to Old Madam Sampton’s beloved granddaughter, Miss Sampton. However, Old Madam Sampton said Miss Sampson is too kind-hearted and easily swayed, so whether to release the video or not, I just need your opinion.”

”Mr. Black, I’m sorry for Old Madam Sampton’s sudden passing. I just returned from abroad and found out about the things online. I believe now is the time to make Old Madam Sampton’s video public. If you agree, I’ll release the video now.” The lawyer finished speaking and quietly waited for James’ response.

James was quite surprised. He understood from the lawyer’s words that the video would only benefit Jane Sampson, with no downsides.

”I agree,” James slowly responded, ”Release it now.”

He didn’t even ask about the video’s specific content, as he trusted Granny Sampton’s love for Jane was genuine.

”Alright,” the lawyer replied, ”I also have two letters left by Old Madam Sampton for Miss Jane Sampson and Mr. Bright Sampton. Tomorrow, I will personally go to the Sampton Family to hand over these letters and publicly read Old Madam Sampton’s will.”

”Tomorrow afternoon?” James glanced at Jane Sampson in the bed, ”Let’s discuss it later.”

The lawyer understood what James meant by ’let’s discuss it later’, as everyone online knew about Jane Sampson’s hospitalization.

After hanging up the phone, James opened Twitter and entered the lawyer’s personal page to wait.

Less than a minute later, the lawyer posted a tweet.

Hello to all netizens, I am the lawyer entrusted by Old Madam Sampton during her lifetime. I have a video recorded by Old Madam Sampton that she instructed me to release on the day it was needed.

I also wish Miss Sampson a speedy recovery.

[Video] — Lawyer Forest.

James clicked on the video. The internet was slightly slow, loading for quite a while before the picture and sound appeared.

The video showed Granny Sampton sitting in Lawyer Forest’s office at the consulting firm. First to appear was Lawyer Forest’s voice, reminding Granny Sampton the equipment was ready, and she could start speaking.

Granny Sampton nodded before turning her gaze to the lens.

The elderly woman wore a deep purple coat, her hair neatly combed. Her voice was calm, but her words were clear.

”Hello everyone, I am little Jane’s grandma. If you are watching this recording instead of seeing me stand before you personally, it means I probably have passed away.
