CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1617: Chapter 1625: Ask You Something

Seeing the string of messages from Bright Sampton, Jane Sampson felt her gloominess vanish completely.

She held the warm ginger tea, first sending a photo to Coco Edwards, then calling Bright Sampton.

Probably thinking she was checking on him, Bright Sampton answered the call with a bit of guilt.

”Sister~ I’ll sleep in a bit, really.” The sound of Bright Sampton’s fingers tapping on the computer keyboard could still be heard on the mobile phone, clearly with the speakerphone on while he was still playing a game.

”I’m not so bored as to check up on you.” Jane Sampson burst out laughing, ”I wanted to ask you something.”

”Oh, not checking up on me, huh? Alright, ask away.” Bright Sampton chuckled over there.

”Are you aware of the current situation with the Sampton Clan?” This was what Jane Sampson wanted to ask.

”Ah, yes, I know.” Bright Sampton said, ”Dad called me yesterday, asking me to advise you and Grandma. He mentioned that the company is about to collapse, but how did you know? Not many people should be aware of the company’s situation at the moment, right?”

At that, Bright Sampson immediately realized another issue.

”Did Dad tell you? Did he come to find you?” Bright Sampson became anxious at once, stopped playing the game, and said hurriedly, ”Sister, don’t worry about this. It doesn’t really concern you in the first place.”

”That day in the countryside, I spoke to Grandma about it. Grandma also thinks it’s better if you don’t get involved.” Bright Sampson sighed, ”Grandma said, ever since you and your brother-in-law set up the marriage contract, the Black Family has been helping the Sampton Family. Up until now, they’ve been helping for so long, and the Sampton Family still can’t stand on its own, still can’t make it, always relying on others. It’s bound to end up this way sooner or later. Now, it’s just bringing that day forward.”

Bright Sampson said, ”Sister, Grandma has already come to terms with it. What are you worried about? Don’t tell me, are you worried about me?”

”When the company goes under, you won’t have money in the future. Aren’t you worried?” Jane Sampson asked.

”What am I worried about? It’s not like I’m very rich right now.” Bright Sampson clicked his tongue a few times, ”I only have a few hundred bucks in my pocket every day, and it lasts for quite a while. Life still goes on as usual. I’ve said it before, whatever I want, I, Bright Sampton will earn it myself.”

Bright Sampson knew what Jane Sampson was worried about, so he simply laid out the family background for her, ”Actually, when I just started my sophomore year, I and two seniors started a company. I invested money and took nearly half of the shares. Although the company’s current scale is small, it is profitable. The senior said, it is expected to have its first dividends in half a year, based on current profits, I can get over a hundred thousand.”

Bright Sampson said, ”I’m just sitting back waiting for the earnings without doing anything. Oh right, I’ve already found a buyer for my car; it was an old friend of mine. I’m going to handle the procedures tomorrow and sell it to him for 4.5 million.”

This car of Bright Sampson was given to him after the College Entrance Exam because of his great scores, by both Old Sir Sampton and Father Sampton as a reward.

It cost nearly 6 million at that time.

Bright Sampson was also lucky; not long after the car was bought, this model went out of production. Although a new style upgrade was released based on this model, anyone who knows cars and tests it would know that the new style isn’t as good as the old one.

This is one of the few models where the new doesn’t surpass the old.

That friend of Bright Sampson had been eyeing his car for a long time, so since the car was purchased up to now, even as a second-hand car, its devaluation isn’t too severe.
