CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1626: Chapter 1634: So Sudden

On the internet, there were already quite a few people who couldn’t stand Jane Sampson’s rapid rise in popularity, her quick success, and her good resources, and were deliberately targeting her. But every time they attacked Jane Sampson, they ended up being proven wrong swiftly.

This had just quieted down for a while.

Now with this scandal breaking out from the film crew of ”The President’s Wife is Not Human,” these haters were definitely going to stir up trouble, weren’t they?

Rock Bell didn’t even have breakfast and hurriedly rushed to the studio.

Sure enough, a lot of reporters had already gathered at the entrance of the studio who came after hearing the news. From across the road, Rock Bell knew that she wouldn’t be able to enter the studio today.

She was Jane Sampson’s agent and also a partner of the studio. As soon as those reporters saw her, they would definitely surround her.

Thinking of this, Rock Bell drove the car away, and only after getting far from the studio did she call Jane Sampson.

However, the call showed that Jane Sampson’s mobile phone was turned off.

Rock Bell then called Jane Sampson’s home several times, but no one answered.

Rock Bell wondered if Jane Sampson went to the guard team to find James Black?

Only then did she turn to call James Black.

Hearing Gary Black answer, Rock Bell hurriedly asked, ”Is Jane with you?” ”Yes.” James Black replied.

”Good, make sure she doesn’t go out today, the internet...”

Before Rock Bell could finish, James Black interrupted her, ”We are at grandma’s in the countryside, she passed away yesterday afternoon.”

Rock Bell’s voice stopped abruptly.

She tried to speak, but no sound came out for a long time.

”So sudden?” Just a few days ago, Jane Sampson was posting photos of her and grandma viewing peach blossoms in the orchard in her Moments, and Granny Sampson smiled so happily with her head leaning against Jane’s.

Granny Sampson in the photo looked very healthy.

”I got it, you stay with her more, I’ll handle the rest.” Rock Bell sighed, ”She must be heartbroken.”

James Black looked at Jane Sampson, who was kneeling and guarding over there, unable even to sigh.

After the Memorial Hall was arranged, Jane Sampson and Bright Sampton kept vigil for the whole night.

Someone handed a cup of water to Bright Sampton, and he drank it, while Jane Sampson just knelt there like a soulless puppet, not responding to anyone speaking to her, as if she couldn’t hear.

Julie Sampton’s belly was already too big to hide, and relatives and neighbors could tell she was pregnant at a glance.

She still held a grudge against Granny Sampson for refusing to acknowledge her as a granddaughter, so she used the excuse of being pregnant, lit a couple of incense sticks, then went to the guest room to rest, saying a pregnant woman shouldn’t be overburdened, nor should she stay too long in such a setting.

After hanging up the phone, Rock Bell sighed heavily and sat in the car dazed for a while, her heart continuously worrying about Jane Sampson.

When Old Sir Sampton passed away, Jane Sampson lost a lot of weight in just a few days; now with Granny Sampson gone, it seemed she lost more than just weight.

It wasn’t until she heard a voice outside the car window that Rock Bell came to her senses.

Turning her head, she saw it was her assistant and lawyer, and only then did she unlock the car door to let them in.

”Sister Bell, just now, Fiery Fanny, the author of ’The President’s Wife is Not Human,’ personally called me to relay to you that our studio shouldn’t make any statements yet. Let her post on Twitter first, then our studio can issue a clarification, which will be more convincing.” The assistant, after getting in the car, glanced at Rock Bell’s expression, feeling something seemed off with her demeanor.
