CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 799: Chapter 807 Behave Yourself

James Black slightly lifted his head and gently kissed the top of her hair. Jane Sampson, after falling asleep, looked her quietest and most well-behaved self. Quiet, not bothering anyone, and holding onto him with her small hand, completely showing a posture of dependency on him.

James Black thought that after being tormented by him last night, Jane might sleep in very late today.

But in fact, that was not the case.

When he woke up, he even thought about quietly not waking her, leaving her a note and then returning to the guard team first, but as soon as he moved, he had just shifted her hand that was holding him when her eyelashes gently trembled, and then she woke up.

The young wife, who hadn’t slept enough, opened her eyes and looked utterly confused.

”You keep sleeping, I’ll go back to the guard team first,” James Black gently patted Jane Sampson’s small head, ”After waking up, get some breakfast for yourself.”

The person still in a groggy state did not seem to clearly hear what James was saying, but she nodded twice anyway.

Yet, as soon as James Black got out of bed, she suddenly sat up, calling out, ”James Black~”

Her voice was soft and tender, and after calling out, she sat there, stretching her hands and rubbing her eyes, then subconsciously and quickly grabbed at James Black’s trouser leg.

Caught off guard, James Black’s sleeping pants were almost pulled down by Jane Sampson.

Turning around and seeing Jane Sampson looking shocked at his waistband, James Black felt his temple pulse several times.

”Let go,” James Black moved closer to Jane Sampson’s side and then reminded her, who was still in a dazed state.

”Oh!” Jane Sampson came to her senses and immediately let go obediently, earnestly explaining, ”It wasn’t on purpose.”

She had merely grabbed without thinking, almost committing indecency.

Without needing Jane Sampson’s explanation, James Black knew it wasn’t intentional. As much as Jane liked him holding her, kissing her, she was not yet so enthusiastic as to proactively invite him to make love to her, James was very clear about that in his heart; Jane preferred he would fuss over her less.

”Behave,” knowing may be one thing, but the reprimand still had to be complete, not missing a single word.

James Black’s three words elicited a pouting gesture from Jane Sampson. After James had adjusted his pants, Jane Sampson then spoke again, ”I was too tired last night, and there are some things I didn’t get to tell you before I couldn’t stay awake and fell asleep.”

Jane Sampson then sluggishly stood up and asked, ”Your hand hasn’t healed yet, why do you need to return to the guard team so early? The doctor said that your left hand hasn’t recovered yet, you shouldn’t force or exercise it heavily and should avoid contact with water, your right hand has only just healed, and you shouldn’t immediately resume your normal training intensity.”

James Black was slightly stunned, so last night, he felt her struggling to keep up, it wasn’t his imagination?

Was it just that she was too exhausted by him, and after struggling for a while, she couldn’t hold it and fell asleep before they could talk?

”No,” James Black hurried back to the guard team, not just for daily training. He was the chief, after all. With several days’ absence from the guard team, much work had piled up awaiting his return to sort it out.

After James Black finished explaining, he saw Jane Sampson sitting there, silent. That’s when he proceeded to the bathroom to wash up and then came out after changing his clothes.

By the time he was ready, Jane Sampson was still sitting motionlessly, and it was then that James Black walked over to her, extending his hand to touch her head that only reached up to his waist, his voice involuntarily softened a few notches, ”It’s still early, you can go back to sleep for a while.”

Jane Sampson nodded her head and finally moved.
