CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 753: Chapter 761: How Much is Booked

”The advertisement is still there, just wanted to let you know in advance,” Rock Bell reassured Jane Sampson, ”However, there’s a fashion charity dinner you have to attend. I’ve received the invitation here. It’s nine days from now at the Northern Star Hotel in Capital Province.”

”Charity dinner?” Jane Sampson’s first reaction was, ”Does that mean I have to donate money?”

”If you go, you should donate something, at least for appearances. The minimum could be 100,000 to 200,000, but it’s up to you. This charity event has been running for nearly 10 years now. There’s a dedicated foundation managing the charity funds, mainly to support children who have dropped out of school and those left behind. Just give what you feel in your heart to contribute.”

Jane slowly turned her gaze towards James Black, then pouted at him, ”Are you preparing me to donate two bucks?”

”What?” Rock Bell was momentarily stunned by Jane’s mention of two bucks.

”All my money has been put into financial products by this guy here, and he left only two bucks in my account. It’s infuriating!” Jane complained.

After hearing this, Rock Bell nearly spat out his meal.

”It’s fine,” Rock Bell comforted Jane, ”You’ll have new earnings in a week. The income from your recent work has already arrived in the company’s account. The finance department will settle and transfer it to you within this week.”

Upon hearing this news, Jane’s eyes lit up like light bulbs, instantly brightening.

”Great!” Jane nodded repeatedly, absolutely overjoyed.

She could buy the bags she liked!

She could buy the snacks she liked!

No longer would she be under James’s watchful eye to spend!

Once he returned to the guard team, she could buy whatever she wanted to eat!

As long as she finished them before he got home, he would know nothing!

Truly happy.

”If you don’t have a companion, the company will arrange a male artist to accompany you then,” Rock Bell said, ”I just don’t know who they’ll assign yet. It might be someone to boost your popularity, or someone whose popularity you can piggyback on.”

Pausing, Rock Bell continued, ”However, you have plenty of friends, right? It’s better if you invite someone yourself, whether male or female, it’s all good. It saves the company from having to arrange a male artist for you and then people are likely to stir up a CP (Celebrity Pairing) rumor, which would bring more trouble.”

”Okay,” Jane mused, planning to ask Mair Williams later if she was going.

Rock Bell didn’t stay too long at the villa after breakfast, discussing some work trivialities, then booked a flight and immediately returned to Capital Province.

Jane saw off Rock Bell before going back to clean up the breakfast dishes. When she finished and came out of the kitchen, she saw James Black at the top of the staircase, signaling for her to come over.

”Do you want water, or something else?” Jane trotted over to James’s side and asked.

”Rock Bell said you have new earnings coming in, and you’re very happy?” James, leaning his shoulder against the wall and looking down from his higher position, gazed at Jane who was smiling as brightly as a sunflower.

”Of course I’m happy not to be broke,” Jane replied as a matter of course.

After being a ’poor person’ with only two bucks in her bank account for some days, just the thought of having money again was making Jane so happy she felt like a flower could bloom in her heart.

”You’re this happy about it? How much are you expecting to come in?” James pressed the question.

Jane took out her mobile phone and tapped away. After a little over a minute, she slowly raised her head to look at James, extended her palm, curled in three fingers leaving only her thumb and index finger up, and grinned, showing her teeth, ”Seven figures.”
