CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 788: Chapter 796: Then I Don’t Want It

James Black didn’t answer Jane Sampson but turned his face to the other side.

The stuff had already been purchased by Alexander Forest, after all, with her being his only wife, if he didn’t give it to her to make her happy, then whom else could he give it to?

However...

”Since you like the gift I gave you, then just consider it something to cheer you up in advance,” he said, turning his head back to look at Jane Sampson with a smile curling at the edge of his lips. ”If there’s a next time, you’re not allowed to ignore me because of this time’s gift.”

”A life-saving gold medal, huh?” Jane Sampson’s interpretation of his words was exactly this. ”You’ve calculated that next time you make me angry, and I ignore you, you’ve already sent the gift to pacify me in advance? What’s the deal, James Black, are you planning to keep on making me mad?”

Jane Sampson, who had been all smiles just a second before, suddenly got irritated.

Touching the lipstick in her hand, she said defiantly, ”Then I don’t want it! This gift, I, the lady, can’t afford! Because if you make me mad again next time, I will still ignore you, and for an even longer time!”

Having said that, Jane Sampson directly handed the lipstick back to James Black, ”Take it back! Take it back! I can’t afford it!”

James Black then realized that these words indeed wouldn’t make Jane Sampson happy.

Seeing that she clearly didn’t want to give it back yet was turning her head away, refusing to even glance his way, James Black’s thoughts made a quick lap around his head.

Then, he corrected himself, ”What I said just now was just blabbering.”

After pondering for a moment, seeing that Jane Sampson still didn’t take the lipstick back, he urged, ”The stuff I gave you doesn’t make sense to return, keep it safe!”

Only when he saw Jane Sampson move a little, slowly retracting her hand, did James Black continue, ”You still remember our agreement about our times, right? At least once a month, come home and see me, and from now on, every additional time you come home, I’ll give you a gift.”

This time Jane Sampson couldn’t hold back and immediately turned around, ”So if I come home ten times in a month, will you give me nine gifts?”

Jane Sampson was beaming with delight, ”Seriously?”

”Mhm,” James Black thought if Jane Sampson could come home ten times in a month, averaging once every three days, not just nine gifts, even ninety, he would be able to give.

Provided that she came home so frequently.

Of course, having come, she would still need to show up and see him, meaning if she really did come home that frequently, she would also have to visit the guard team a few times to see him.

”James Black, you’re suddenly so good at sweet-talking; I’m really not used to it,” Jane Sampson moved closer to his side, suddenly laughing slyly, ”James Black, I have a question I really want to ask you.”

Without waiting for James Black to speak, Jane Sampson leaned her head on his right shoulder and asked with a voice filled with laughter, ”To make me come home often, you’re even willing to lure me with gifts, so, James Black, do you particularly hope that I come home often to be with you? You’ve been so scheming about tempting me to come home frequently...”

Jane Sampson paused here without going on.

Her beautiful peach-blossom eyes at that moment turned sly like little foxes.

James Black’s tactics always went beyond her imagination.

So the purpose of this gift was to lure her to come home often, eh?

”James Black, do you feel that seeing me only once a month is too infrequent? Do you perhaps yearn to see me often?” Jane Sampson reached out and gently poked James Black’s shoulder, speaking softly, her voice teasing as she asked pointedly, ”James Black, do you, or do you not? Like me?”
