Chapter 775: Chapter 783: No Way to Deal With Her

”I’m certain it’s not for that reason! — Princess Egg-Yolk.”

”Enough about him, let’s call some others and form a group to have a few satisfying kills. — Princess Egg-Yolk.”

James Black stood alone downstairs for a long time, expecting Jane Sampson to come down after a while. He didn’t anticipate she would take so long, nor did he expect that she had no intention of coming down at all. Only then did James Black climb the stairs.

Jane Sampson was never quiet when playing games.

Her little mouth wouldn’t stop, as if she could voice the game herself.

James Black could hear Jane’s voice as soon as he reached the bedroom entrance. He stood at the door for a few seconds. Jane was in the midst of excitement and didn’t notice him. Only then did he walk in and sit down next to her.

Now, with him being such a big presence, it would be hard for Jane to ignore him even if she wanted to.

He thought that by doing this, Jane might pay him some attention, but she only glanced at him, the look so fleeting it lasted less than a second, then turned her head away and moved to a far away corner with her mobile phone, showing no intention of speaking to him.

”Jane Sampson.” James Black couldn’t hold back and called her name again.

”Help me change clothes, it’s very late, time to rest,” said James Black, standing up and walking over to Jane, standing upright.

Clutching her mobile phone, Jane thought for a second. She was still upset with James at the moment and had intended to let him manage on his own.

However, she realized that this time James really couldn’t manage on his own. Even if he had scissors, he couldn’t cut the clothes off himself.

Fearing that she might really provoke James and that he would change clothes regardless of harming his hands, Jane put down her mobile phone and stood up with an indifferent expression, gently helping James remove his clothes.

Leaving a naked James behind, she went into the bathroom to run a bath for him. Once ready, she stood at the bathroom entrance, knocked on the door but didn’t speak to James. When James looked her way, she pointed towards the bathroom, gesturing him to take a bath, then ignored him and climbed back onto the bed to continue playing games on her mobile phone.

James had no way to deal with Jane’s behavior.

If she had just ignored him entirely just now, he might have taken the opportunity to reason with her. But she had done everything she was supposed to do, only not speaking to him or paying him any attention, leaving him truly without an excuse.

Just like before, Jane helped James into his pajamas after he finished his bath. Still, not a word nor an extra glance from her toward James.

After taking care of James, she lifted the quilt and lay down, immediately sending him a look not to come closer, and then settled down to sleep with her eyes shut.

James’s temple throbbed. This was the first time Jane expressed her anger in such a subdued manner; he was uncertain of her current state of mind. Therefore, he didn’t move closer to her.

Only when Jane’s breathing became steady, clearly asleep, did James tentatively call out, ”Jane Sampson.”

After waiting a few seconds and getting no response, not even a change in her breathing, James confirmed she was truly asleep. Then he moved closer, stopping only when his leg touched hers. The side of the bed where he originally laid was left empty, wide enough for another him to lie down.
