CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 786: Chapter 794: Too Scary

After the video call connected, the three of them chatted directly in the video. Jane Sampson showed everything she could, every place she had put flowers, giving Grandpa Sampton and Granny Sampton a showcase of the past once again.

Granny Sampton, in the video, was smiling so happily.

Although they didn’t know why James Black suddenly sent flowers to Jane Sampson, seeing Jane happy, Grandpa Sampton and Granny Sampton were at ease.

In this world, there was nothing that brought them more joy than seeing this granddaughter, Jane Sampson, doing well.

Their biggest fear was that Jane Sampson would marry James Black and, although she wouldn’t have to worry about being alone, they always feared that Jane would lead a life as dull as water because of James’s reserved nature.

Watching Jane in the video, every time she mentioned James, her eyes filled with joy, Granny Sampton’s eyes quietly reddened.

Having lived to this age, the two elders felt they most owed this granddaughter and were most concerned about her.

The video call lasted until around four when Alexander Forest arrived, and Jane reluctantly hung up.

”Hey, little Jane, seeing you again. Your home looks different today. Why are there roses everywhere? I was startled when I just came. I thought you were decorating your new house for a marriage,” said Alexander Forest, holding stuff and waving at Jane with an awkward smile.

He still vividly remembered the scene where Jane Sampson slammed the bowl and chopsticks and turned her face away from James Black. In his mind, she was already an extraordinary person for being able to show displeasure to James Black like that.

Being someone’s wife is quite different from being someone’s friend.

”Junior President Forest sure has a way with words. The fact that your company hasn’t gone under after so many years is really a miracle,” James Black’s voice was cool as he chimed in.

Alexander Forest’s mouth snapped shut.

If Chief Black spoke, it would be lethal. The fact that he hadn’t been beaten to death over so many years was indeed a miracle.

Of course, this was something Alexander Forest dared only murmur to himself, not daring to say in front of James Black.

After all, it was dangerous.

”Right, my friend sent me some tea leaves early this morning. As you know, I like coffee and beverages and don’t really care for this tea stuff. So, I kept some for the seniors at my home and my cousin, and I brought the rest for you,” Alexander said, shaking the bag in his hand. ”These two bags are for you, suitable for young people, and this one is for Old Master Black, it’s stomach-friendly, suitable for the elderly.”

”He bullies you like this and you still bring him tea leaves?” Jane Sampson was shocked. ”Alexander Forest, could it be that you like my James Black?”

Alexander Forest spat out a mouthful of boiled water.

”Little Jane, that joke’s gone too far. That’s a terrifying joke,” Alexander Forest shook his hands repeatedly.

Bringing tea leaves was just incidental; his main purpose was to deliver the items that James Black had specifically asked for.

It took quite some effort to prepare all the stuff that James Black had specified in just half a day. The two bags of tea leaves for James Black were actually all the items he had requested.

The tea leaves for James Black were placed in the same bag as those for Old Master Black.

”Thanks,” James Black nodded, offering a sincere thank you.

Sometimes Alexander Forest might be a bit too outspoken, but when it came to work, he was absolutely reliable for James Black.
