CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 499: Chapter 507: Going Out for a Temporary Mission

But Elizabeth King herself said that she didn’t know who in the film crew would become enemies with Jane Sampson, and after throwing away Jane’s fruits, someone still blackened Jane’s name.

Jane Sampson’s script became gradually lighter towards the end, and with the help of the capable assistant Coco Edwards to handle and arrange her daily life, Jane’s work also became much easier.

In the last few days, Jane even had time to start practicing her singing.

On the day Jane finished filming, the crew gathered together for a bout of excitement.

There were no other entertainment activities, so as usual, everyone sat on the ground roasting sweet potatoes.

”Ah, once Jane leaves, we’ll lose someone who always brings laughter,” said Harry Humming as he handed Jane a grilled corn and sighed.

Jane was the third female role with less screen time, so it was normal for her to finish filming in a month, but Harry, as the second male lead, still had a lot of scenes to shoot. After finishing the scenes in this village, he would have to continue filming elsewhere.

Although Harry had only known Jane for a month, they got along well and had compatible personalities. So the thought of parting soon, not knowing when they would see each other again, made Harry genuinely reluctant to say goodbye.

”Don’t lose my phone call, huh? Let’s save each other’s numbers. If I go to Capital Province, or if you come to Seaside City, we’ll get in touch,” said Harry.

”Sure thing, if you come to Capital Province, Jane and I will treat you to a meal,” Shirley Young chimed in from next to them.

”It’s a promise!” Harry clapped Shirley’s shoulder, smiling again, ”There’s no sorrow that a meal can’t soothe, and if there is, then let’s have two.”

His comic remark instantly had everyone laughing heartily.

Mona Calm moved closer to Jane and whispered, ”Jane, can I add you on WhatsApp? I don’t know when we’ll see each other again.”

”Let’s just exchange phone numbers.” Jane had too many contacts on WhatsApp and didn’t add anyone she wasn’t as familiar with as Shirley Young and James Carter.

Mona was taken aback and clearly a bit disappointed, but she still exchanged phone numbers with Jane.

The simplest wrap-up meal in history ended, and after Jane’s first wrap-up, everyone went back to their own places. After Jane returned to her room, she thought about the free time she would have tomorrow and the day after, then took out her mobile phone and made a call to James Black.

Upon making the call, she realized that James Black’s phone was turned off. Jane uttered a surprised sound, then hung up.

After logging back into WhatsApp, she found that James had sent her a message over two hours ago.

I’m suddenly going out for tasks these two days. —— Jane Sampson’s Mr. Black.

Reading the message left Jane stunned for a moment.

He suddenly went out for a mission?

She had planned to accompany him to the guard team for these two days, and now the plan had fallen through?

Jane scratched her head and sighed. This feeling of a disrupted plan seemed unpleasant.

We had an agreement that he would pick her up!

We had agreed that either he would accompany her, or she would accompany him.

But Jane, not married to a defender for the first time nor in contact with one for the first time, felt momentarily depressed before getting her mood back on track.

Early the next morning, Jane said goodbye to the film crew and left the village she had lived in for a month and grown fond of with Coco Edwards.

By noon, they had arrived in Capital Province. Coco took a taxi to send Jane home first before leaving. After washing up at home and grabbing a change of clothes, Jane drove to the countryside to her grandparents’ house.

She planned to stay with her grandparents for one night and return the next afternoon.

The day after tomorrow, she would join the shooting team of I’m Not a Celebrity early in the morning, not knowing which guard team the show would choose.
