CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 461: Chapter 469: Indeed Not Suitable

And she and Shirley Young were on the phone in their own rooms, discussing the matter.

”I’m sorry, today when this happened we were all in the mountain village, my agent couldn’t reach me, and since we weren’t sure what was going on, they didn’t handle it on my behalf without confirmation,” Shirley Young apologized first, ”I never expected there to be paparazzi staked out that morning.”

”You shouldn’t mind those insults about you on Twitter, there is no such thing as not deserving someone in this world, you’re also great, very outstanding.” Shirley Young said, ”If there is a need, I can help explain things to your husband.”

”No need, he knew I was taking your car to the airport that morning, I had told him before,” Jane Sampson shook her head, but the thought of the missed call notification from James Black made her worry somewhat.

She wasn’t worried that James Black would misunderstand her relationship with Shirley Young – after all, James Black had been there when she met Shirley Young, and he knew that she would be going to the airport with Shirley Young that morning.

What concerned her was whether such news would affect James Black at the guard team.

”Speaking of which, I should be the one apologizing to you, Brother Cheer. If it wasn’t for you giving me a ride, even if they staked out, they wouldn’t have been able to shoot anything,” Jane Sampson sighed, ”Brother Cheer, I’m worried that after this is leaked, everyone’s focus will be on your personal life, and the media and paparazzi will take the opportunity to dig deeper, investigating your affairs.”

If they did dig deep, the chance discovery of Shirley Young’s family circumstances by the paparazzi would undoubtedly bring trouble to Shirley Young’s wife and daughter.

”Brother Cheer, I’m sorry. Actually, in this situation, if I simply told the outside world that I’m married or that I have a boyfriend, it would probably be the best way to handle it. That way, people would cool down, and after some time they would forget this incident. But, Brother Cheer, my husband is a defender, and I can’t expose him to the media; it would pose a great risk to his security,” she explained.

Jane Sampson continued, ”Brother Cheer, you also have someone in your family who is a defender, so you should understand my feelings about wanting to protect my husband’s personal information, right?”

”I understand,” Shirley Young replied gently, ”You and I are on the same page. For this kind of situation, one of us declaring we are married is the best way to quash the rumors, but since your husband is a defender, indeed it’s not suitable.”

Of course, there was another method, which was to simply not explain and let it be.

However, this would lead to two possible outcomes. One is that the so-called cohabitation scandal would pique public curiosity about his private life, and thereafter, his life would be under closer scrutiny, until the news of him getting married and having children came out.

The other outcome is that maybe after a few days, if both he and Jane Sampson didn’t respond, the topic would fade away, and naturally, everyone would also realize that there was no cohabitation between him and Jane Sampson.

But is it possible?

After all, he and Jane Sampson are neighbors, they live in the same small district. This time the topic might fade, but the next time someone catches him and Jane Sampson entering or leaving the same community, even not at the same time, the topic could be brought up again.

Shirley Young fell silent on the phone for nearly a minute, and then, he suddenly laughed.

”I’ve made up my mind,” he said. ”I think, perhaps this is the best chance to introduce my family to the public.” With the decision made, Shirley Young felt relieved, ”I can’t let my wife forever watch me get involved in scandals with other women. My child has also grown up, it’s time for her existence to be known. Continuing to hide won’t be fair to my wife and daughter.”
