CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 462: Chapter 470: Jealous Strength

Shirley Young said this and thought of her own daughter, chuckled, ”Little lass said a long time ago that she wanted to visit the set with mom, but because my wife and I had a secret marriage and not many people knew, she never got her wish fulfilled. Now that it’s public, she can come and see me filming with her mom in all honor and dignity.”

”Brother Cheer, just being your rumored girlfriend has already caused a stir among your fans. If you announce your marriage, you might lose a batch of them,” Jane Sampson said, feeling worried for Shirley Young.

”There are gains and losses in life. You can’t be too greedy. Besides, I can’t possibly keep this news under wraps forever. It’s bound to come out sooner or later. As for those fans, there’s nothing I can do. The only thing I can do is be true to myself.” Shirley Young’s voice carried a hint of laughter.

”Since you have already decided, Brother Cheer, I won’t say more. Anyway, I wish you good luck,” Jane Sampson let out a light sigh and hung up the phone. She thought to herself that the woman who married Shirley Young must also be very fortunate.

After ending the call with Shirley Young, Jane Sampson finally called Rock Bell. Rock Bell on the other end had obviously been waiting for Jane’s call, so the moment she dialed, Rock Bell instantly picked up.

”You just finished filming now? You know what’s going on in twitter, right?”

”I finished a while ago, and was just discussing how to handle this matter with Senior Shirley Young. Now, we already have a solution,” Jane Sampson said. ”Senior Shirley Young is going to go public with his marriage. It shouldn’t take half an hour for him to announce it, and I plan to issue a clarification after he does, explaining that Senior Young and I are neighbors from the same residential community.”

”So soon?” Rock Bell sounded surprised, with a hint of regret, ”This incident has given you a good boost in popularity and fans, and Shirley Young has sparked a surge for you. I thought it would take at least another day to resolve. However, Shirley Young announcing his marriage—that does surprise me.”

”Senior Shirley Young is a good man,” Jane Sampson quickly agreed.

”Hehe, your James Black isn’t bad either~” Rock Bell teased, ”When this news first broke, he was the most anxious one. Seeing so many netizens on twitter cursing at you, saying you were leeching popularity and weren’t worthy of Shirley Young, Chief Black was furious.”

”He called you?” Jane Sampson touched her nose tip, she was planning to call James Black back in a bit.

”He did,” Rock Bell nodded. ”He seemed in a pretty bad mood. Even through the phone, I think I could feel his jealousy.”

”Sister Tin, you’re just joking with me, right?” Jane Sampson clearly didn’t believe it. Jealousy? That was definitely impossible. If he was in a bad mood, it was just his big man’s possessiveness kicking in.

Or maybe it was daddy Black’s assertive character taking over, activating his fussy, meddlesome mode.

”Whether I’m joking or not, why don’t you give him a call later and find out for yourself? Your man, not mine; he’s not jealous of me.” Rock Bell laughed mischievously. After finishing the conversation about the rumors, Rock Bell then brought up important matters with Jane Sampson, ”I’m still scouting for a new assistant for you. You’re not in a rush, are you? If you are, I can temporarily transfer someone from the company’s logistics to assist you.”

”I’m not in a hurry,” Jane Sampson shook her head. ”With a position like an assistant, it’s better to have none than to have someone inadequate. Sometimes having one only adds trouble.”
