CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 486: Chapter 494: Maliciously Changing Assistant

Because of one person, one can grow fond of a city, and such affection, untainted by romantic love, is a form of belief, a sentiment.

Before she had met James Carter, she had already contemplated visiting the city where he was born. Now, with James Carter showing her around Springtown’s nocturnal beauty, Jane Sampson had only one thought in her mind.

This city, indeed, is beautiful.

The next morning, Jane Sampson slept in until she naturally woke up, then leisurely packed her luggage. After having lunch, she had the hotel arrange for a car to take her to the airport.

Halfway there, Jane browsed twitter on her mobile phone out of boredom and, to her surprise, stumbled upon her own name.

”Jane Sampson, the biggest newcomer, displays diva behavior by maliciously changing assistants!”

Jane’s initial reaction upon seeing the headline was, ”What the hell?”

How had the trivial matter of changing an assistant become public knowledge?

Moreover, since when did changing an assistant, which was her own business, become such big news?

When Jane clicked on the post, she found out that Rock Bell had only this morning dismissed Elizabeth King, and the news about her changing assistants had spread so quickly?

”Jane Sampson, the biggest newcomer, displays diva behavior by maliciously changing assistants!”

Speaking of who has been dominating the internet realm for the past few days, there is no doubt it was newcomer Jane Sampson. A few days ago, an exposure involving Movie King Shirley Young and his cohabitating girlfriend catapulted Jane Sampson to a boost in popularity, with her twitter followers skyrocketing by hundreds of thousands overnight.

With just one post calling out the twitter, she became the hottest topic of recent days, truly basking in the glory.

This very morning, the blogger received a tip that Jane Sampson had changed her assistant. However, as far as this blogger is aware, Jane’s assistant had barely been on the job for just over a month. Why would Jane, out of the blue and on a whim, replace her assistant, if not for acting like a diva?

Reliable sources state that Jane Sampson, currently filming a new drama, is co-starring with Mandy Forest. Jane portrays the third female role, Jane Blackwood, while Mandy plays the female lead, Caroline Summer. It is rumored that, during filming, Jane sent her assistant numerous times to curry favor with Mandy, even going so far as to lend her assistant to Mandy.

Jane’s sudden replacement of her assistant raises suspicions for this blogger. Could it be that the assistant failed to win over Mandy’s favor, leading Jane to believe the assistant was useless, thus impulsively firing her?

As for Jane’s character, this blogger has more to say.

It is said that, on the set, her fruits were mysteriously thrown into a ditch, evidence pointing to Jane’s character not being too admirable among the crew.

This blogger won’t say much, only that one shouldn’t act bigger than their fame before even making a name for themselves!

”Acting bigger than their fame?” After reading, Jane was so furious she felt like smashing her phone!

Given Jane’s continuously soaring popularity lately, the blog post immediately captured a lot of attention. By the time Jane noticed it, the article had already been shared over ten thousand times, with a lively discussion in the comments.

Jane exited twitter and directly phoned Rock Bell.

”You’re calling about the blog that’s slandering you, right?” Rock said. ”Don’t worry just yet, the company has already stepped in and is contacting the blogger. There should be a result soon.”

Concerned that Jane might overthink, Rock added, ”You know what they say about those in the spotlight attracting controversy, right? There are lots of private bloggers on the internet who, seeking attention, will resort to the most sensational methods to create a stir. These people don’t care if what they are writing about is true or not, only that what they write gets readers.”
