CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 471: Chapter 479: Implicated

To find out who purchased the unauthorized crowd, as long as there are sufficient connections and enough people are known, it’s not really that hard.

And if there happens to be a studio familiar with the industry, then the investigation proceeds even faster.

James Black had just placed the marriage certificate not long ago when his mobile phone on the desktop flashed. He glanced at it and saw a new message come in.

James Black opened it to find a text from a friend, informing him that they had found out who bought the unauthorized crowd—it was Sophie Young. Apparently, upon seeing someone just exposed Jane Sampson and Shirley Young’s matter, Sophie Young muddied the waters and took the opportunity to purchase the unauthorized crowd to smear Jane Sampson.

After reading the text, he dialed a call directly.

”What did the whistleblower say? Did he do it on his own, or was he instructed by someone?” James Black wanted to know this.

”He was instructed, but he’s too professional to reveal who instructed him. However, he said one thing—it wasn’t Sophie Young,” the other party said, ”It’s also guessed that it wasn’t Sophie Young. Given Sophie Young’s current situation, it’s unlikely she would have the funds to engage in such a harmful and self-detrimental act. Moreover, if Sophie Young were to be found offending Shirley Young now, she would have an even harder time in the industry.”

After saying this, the other party paused for a moment and then suddenly added, ”Oh, and the person also said that from the beginning, this incident was targeted at Jane Sampson, not Shirley Young. In this matter, Shirley Young was purely involved by chance, as she was interacting with Jane Sampson around this time, and since Shirley Young is highly popular, she got implicated.”

”It seems my initial feeling was not wrong.” Ever since the news exposing Shirley Young’s cohabiting girlfriend came out, and it was shortly revealed to be Jane Sampson, James Black had a sense that everything was prearranged, released in a calculated sequence of events.

His first impression of these news items was that they were aimed at Jane Sampson, not at Shirley Young.

”Have your wife be a little more careful recently, and think about who she might have had conflicts with lately. A newcomer wouldn’t usually provoke such determined smear efforts, and frankly, if you carefully consider this matter, you’ll realize that the instigator did not purchase the unauthorized crowd to smear Jane Sampson. Instead, it was Sophie Young, taking advantage of the chaos, who did this. Therefore, when the reports came out initially, they were actually beneficial for your wife. She gained exposure and increased popularity from the association with Shirley Young,” the friend explained.

”Honestly, had it not been for the incident involving Shirley Young’s cohabiting girlfriend, perhaps many people wouldn’t even know of the existence of the actress Jane Sampson. But now, Jane Sampson’s followers on Twitter are skyrocketing every day. It’s because of this initial surge that people suspected whether Jane Sampson had staged the whole thing to ride Shirley Young’s coat-tails to fame,” the friend continued.

James Black’s eyes darkened slightly, as his friend had pointed out, the purpose of this incident could not withstand a careful analysis because no matter how it was dissected, the true motive couldn’t be uncovered.

So much effort and thought had gone into this, yet it appeared like an act that caused no substantial harm to Jane Sampson.

”To be honest, when I first saw the news, if it weren’t for your direct request to investigate, as someone from inside the circle, I initially thought it was Jane Sampson’s company that released this news, to use Movie King Shirley Young to increase the fame of the newcomer Jane Sampson. Just look at Twitter today; Shirley Young released a statement revealing his secret marriage and brought the episode’s popularity to its peak. He even said a few good words for your wife in his statement.”
