CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 454: Chapter 462: It’s Quite Miserable

The content of the interview is actually somewhat related to that of the drama, as both are tied to the theme of defenders, centered around the occupation of the guard team. Given that the drama’s material is about wartime in an era gone by, and the village where filming takes place is a well-known guard team village, this interview was specially arranged by locals to promote the village as a tourist attraction. Therefore, even without any preparation, Jane Sampson and Harry Humming didn’t make any mistakes during the interview.

After the interview, Jane Sampson didn’t dwell on it, considering such small-town interviews don’t have much impact anyway.

When they got back, Harry Humming taught Jane Sampson a lesson titled ’Unrequited Love.’ Jane listened intently, but when Director Wilson walked over and heard them, he slapped Harry on the shoulder.

”Don’t corrupt our little Jane. What you’re describing is infatuation, not true unrequited love,” said Director Wilson, as he pulled over a chair and sat down in front of Jane. After looking at her and thinking, he began, ”Do you know what it means to like someone? Not the kind of liking between friends, but the kind between a man and a woman. That kind of emotion is intense and yet subtle, the most contradictory feeling in this world.”

”When you have a crush on someone, you think about him every day. You want to see him, but you’re too shy to meet his gaze. No matter what he’s doing, you carefully and silently pay attention. If he’s happy, you’re even happier; if he’s sad, you’re even sadder. Your emotions follow his throughout the day, wondrously making you feel elated while, at the same time, bringing endless sourness.”

”Director Wilson, your words sound beautiful, but you’re speaking to someone who’s never been in love. It would be strange if she could understand with her wooden head,” Harry laughed heartily. ”Jane Sampson, the name fits perfectly—nothing but a blockhead.”

”Now you’re attacking my character!” Jane glared at Harry, who was laughing stupidly beside her.

”To be of such age and yet so inexperienced is quite tragic,” Director Wilson shook his head. ”How could you have never liked someone at this age? It isn’t wrong to call you a blockhead. Take a few more minutes to think on it, then try again.”

After Director Wilson left, Harry’s laughter continued unabated. ”Jane, I’m really curious what you did during your adolescence.”

”I was the first in grades at our high school,” Jane said with an innocent smile. ”Capital Province City’s science talent.”

”...” A critical hit of ten thousand points of damage.

Harry silently took out his mobile phone and deleted his high school transcript that he had sent out a few days ago in a moment of boredom.

Everyone in the world knew that Harry Humming was a poor student from a young age.

When Jane saw Harry finally stop laughing, she closed her eyes again to seek out that feeling of unrequited love.

She knew the hardest part for her to conquer in the drama was the emotional acting, so she spent that time watching many historical dramas to learn how others portrayed restrained and reserved unrequited love.

In this world, many emotions can be faked, but the hardest to perform is whether you love someone or don’t.

Love, this kind of emotion, truly cannot be conveyed through a few words or body movements alone. It is an emotion engraved at the bottom of the eyes and the depth of the heart.

”Jane Sampson, Harry Humming, get into position!” Director Wilson called out to them, and Jane finally opened her eyes and stood up.
