CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 360: Chapter 368: Not Worried At All

Then he could hear faint jogging sounds coming from inside the room, and a few seconds later the door opened from the inside, and Jane Sampson stood at the doorway looking bewilderedly at him.

”Huh, how come you’re back?”

Without any pretense, her tone was full of astonishment.

James Black’s gaze rested on her face for a few seconds before he naturally took her left hand and walked in, then lifted his foot to close the door behind them.

After bending down to change his shoes, James Black finally answered Jane Sampson’s earlier question.

”To take you to the airport,” he said.

After saying this, he let go of Jane Sampson’s soft hand and headed to the bathroom, asking her on the way, ”Have you packed all your luggage?”

”I finished packing last night,” Jane nodded, and as James Black brushed his teeth and washed his face, she followed him into the bathroom like a little fool, giggling as she watched him laugh, ”You couldn’t possibly have rushed here from the guard team just to take me to the airport, could you? Without even having time for brushing your teeth and washing your face, that means as soon as you woke up, you immediately rushed here, right?”

After laughing a couple of times, Jane Sampson stepped closer to James Black, stood on her tiptoes, and brought her face close to his, ”But why would you do that?”

James Black did not answer but glanced at the person standing beside him in the mirror. Like a dog, Jane sniffed him and then stepped back two paces with a look of disgust on her face.

”You stink, James Black,” Jane said, then turned and headed back to the bedroom. Her voice still reached into the bathroom, ”How long has it been since you took a bath?”

Every word was thick with disdain.

James Black curled the corner of his mouth, washed his face, and after he was done, he returned to the bedroom, retrieving a change of clothes from the cloakroom while explaining, ”I’ve been on the train for more than ten hours, and the compartment had all sorts of smells. You should worry if I came smelling nice.”

After he explained, he took his change of clothes and returned to the bathroom.

Listening to the sound of the bathroom door closing, Jane voiced an ”oh,” ”You came straight home after getting off the train? Why didn’t you go directly back to the guard team?”

He used to go straight back to the guard team after his missions, so Jane really hadn’t seen him looking so...

So much like a vagrant.

”But...” Jane Sampson ran back to the bathroom, knocked on the door with her hand, and seriously asked back, ”Why should I be worried if you smelled nice? I am not worried at all.”

Even if he smelled of ten different women, Jane Sampson wouldn’t worry. With James Black’s unmatched old-fashioned thinking, he wouldn’t do anything out of line.

After all, even Old Master Black was more in step with the new era than James Black.

The sound of flowing water came from the bathroom, and Jane went back to the dressing mirror to meticulously complete the rest of her skincare routine before changing her clothes. She then played with her mobile phone while waiting for James Black.

It was too early, Jane worried about being unable to hail a car, and had initially planned to drive herself to the airport and park the car in the airport parking lot. She would leave the car key there and later find a designated driver to drive the car back to the residential community.

However, since James Black said he would take her to the airport, Jane had a lot less to worry about.

The sound of the water in the bathroom stopped, and a while later James Black came out with the tips of his wet hair still dripping. As he stepped out, he unconsciously looked around the room for Jane, and when he spotted her sitting on the bed, he quietly shifted his gaze to continue with his business.

Due to his occupation, James Black did everything quickly and efficiently. It took Jane only a session of playing a standalone game before James Black had finished getting ready and was urging her on.
