CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 358: Chapter 366: Going to Springtown

Rock Bell mentioned this, and then suddenly asked another question, ”Did James Carter talk to you about this matter alone? You wouldn’t refuse too, right? About being the MV female lead.”

”No, I agreed,” Jane Sampson smiled. ”I just didn’t expect to start work so soon.”

”The prep work on their end is almost done, and if not for waiting for you, they would probably have chosen one of the preliminary backup candidates and started already.” Rock Bell felt that Jane Sampson’s dumb luck was really better than that of most newcomers, setting aside the favor and opportunities from Director Wilson, just having James Carter, who was so rich and powerful yet unreachable for others, to have fallen into Jane Sampson’s hands.

Even without James Carter intentionally promoting it, his comeback concert’s first new single song was bound to be a hit, and as the only female lead in this MV, Jane Sampson would definitely shine.

As long as James Carter’s studio could cooperate a little afterwards, plus the operations from the company side, raising Jane Sampson’s popularity a notch wouldn’t be a problem at all.

”Alright then, arrange your schedule. In the next two days, if you’re free, have Chief Black take you to sign the contract. Rest well these few days, don’t eat random stuff, and try to give James Carter your best condition.” Rock Bell, knowing full well about Nina Rice and Jane Sampson’s foodie tendencies, couldn’t help but give a few extra reminders.

Jane Sampson agreed promptly and after hanging up the phone, she immediately got up from bed. Without James Black’s help, it took her almost five minutes just to put on a bra correctly.

After getting ready, Jane Sampson first went straight to the company to sign the contract, and then took a cab directly to the Black Residence.

Although her right hand was somewhat better, she still couldn’t use it forcefully, so if she didn’t return to the Black Residence, Jane Sampson would really struggle with everyday life these next few days.

Without anyone to accompany Jane Sampson to the Black Residence, she hunkered down in the house all week, reading the script every day, and memorizing her lines. Apart from taking the Great General for a walk, she didn’t go out at all.

It wasn’t until Sunday that Jane Sampson went to the hospital for a reexamination of her right hand under the company of Aunt Black. After confirming her right hand had fully recovered, Jane was so delighted she felt like celebrating with a few close-up photos of her right hand.

”By the way, Jane, you’re going to Springtown tomorrow, right?” Aunt Black suddenly remembered this and casually asked.

”Yeah, should be about one week before I can return, but I’ll have to enter the filming set just two days after coming back,” Jane Sampson said.

”I don’t know if James Black has finished his mission and returned to the guard team yet.” Aunt Black muttered, ”I had arranged with Peter Gingery earlier to ask him to take leave tomorrow night, since it’s his uncle’s birthday.”

But plans can’t keep up with changes, and since Peter Gingery went out on a task with James Black, Aunt Black was muttering about whether James Black had returned yet.

Jane Sampson arched her eyebrows, then thought that since she was going to Springtown tomorrow, she would have to give James Black a call before leaving, according to his wishes, right?

”Auntie, I’ll give James Black a call in a bit,” Jane Sampson said.

Aunt Black, however, let out a yip, turned her head with a meaningful look at Jane, then nodded mysteriously and hummed in agreement.

Jane Sampson taking the initiative to call James Black, it seemed like it was going to rain red raindrops.

Aunt Black even felt that the granddaughter Old Sir was hoping for might not be far off.
