CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 20: Chapter 28: You Can Get a Divorce!

Nina didn’t hesitate and immediately made a call in front of Jane Sampson to arrange a meeting time with her cousin, then she hung up the phone.

”Nina, when I become famous one day, I’ll give you autographs for free, heaps of them!” After Nina hung up the phone, Jane Sampson hugged her and planted a big kiss on her face.

”I, the Miss, will be waiting for you to become famous.” Nina grinned, ”I haven’t seen you this happy in a long time, Jane. As a person, the most important thing is to be happy. How great is that!”

Nina, like an elder sister, ruffled Jane Sampson’s hair. Whether someone is truly happy can be seen in their eyes, and Nina felt that today’s Jane was a sight she hadn’t seen in a while.

She didn’t know if James talked to Jane yesterday after coming back, resulting in such a big change in Jane, but to Nina, all these changes seemed positive.

Knowing Nina’s work was busy, Jane didn’t stay in her office for too long. Coincidentally, the meeting time Nina arranged was in one hour, so Jane calculated the time and left the consulting firm 15 minutes early to drive there.

Jane had met Nina’s cousin a few times when she was a child and had even received gifts from her. Jane recalled that she had a particularly boyish name called Rock Bell. When she was younger, Jane followed Nina and called her Sister Tin.

Jane was initially worried that after several years, she wouldn’t recognize her cousin, but as soon as she got off the elevator and saw the person coming towards her, she immediately recognized Rock from her memories.

”Sister Tin!” Jane called out, raising her voice to stop the person walking towards her. Seeing that Rock Bell didn’t seem to recognize her, Jane spoke up again, ”Sister Tin, it’s me, Jane Sampson! Nina’s good friend!”

Rock Bell slapped her forehead and let out a long ”Oh,” ”Once you said your name, I remembered. You’re just as beautiful as when you were a kid. Let’s go, we’ll talk in my office.”

Rock Bell was a strong and decisive woman, doing everything with energy and assertiveness.

After grabbing Jane, she led her into her private office. As a top agent at Star River Entertainment, her office was the most impressive among all the agents.

”Nina just told me over the phone, you want to be an actor.” Because of her closeness with Nina, Rock was quite straightforward with Jane, ”To be honest, it’s a bit late for you to make your debut at your current age.”

Jane was aware that it was indeed late to debut at her age, which was why she considered using Nina’s connections.

Seeing Jane with her head drooping in a pitiful way, Rock Bell patted her head and laughed, ”No worries. Just because you called me Sister Tin, as long as you have talent and are willing to work hard, age doesn’t really matter. But the most important thing is, I heard from Nina that you’re already married?”

In the entertainment circle, age really isn’t crucial; what’s essential is the person’s own qualities. Jane is beautiful, and with a change in her style of clothes, claiming to be two or three years younger wouldn’t be questioned. Inaccurately stating your age has already become a common tactic in this day and this industry.

However, debuting after getting married, even an experienced agent like Rock Bell felt it was tricky. Whether for a male or female star, marriage, to some extent, would limit their career possibilities.

”Is it a problem if I’ve got married?” Jane thought for a few seconds, then suddenly broke into a grin and said, ”Getting married shouldn’t be an issue. If it is, I’ll just go and get a divorce. Would that solve the problem?”

”Pfft—”

Rock Bell spurted out her tea in shock, staring at the audacious Jane while coughing until her face turned red.
