CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 133: Chapter 141: They Are All Fools

”Julie Sampson, in the past to avoid marrying Brother James Black, you secretly pulled a lot of strings and made some moves, encouraging mother to also do a lot of things for you. But I bet you didn’t expect that Brother James Black never fancied you, and neither did Old Master Black fancy you as his granddaughter-in-law. So, now you’d better stop spouting those laughable lies here.”

After Bright Sampton had said his piece, he looked down on Julie Sampson from his superior height, his gaze full of mocking scorn as he took in her expression.

Actually, when Julie Sampson was first discovered and brought back to the family, Bright Sampson was still young. Being spoiled by the family from a young age, he had no idea that jealousy might arise at having a sister to share his parents’ affection. At that time, he was very happy and often boasted to his friends about having another sister.

But later, Bright Sampson slowly started to feel that Julie Sampson didn’t quite fit in with the home. Julie Sampson’s arrival made his sister Jane Sampson less happy, and over time, he realized that Julie Sampson had countless faces, wearing different masks for different people.

The hypocrisy of Julie Sampson, that was the reason Bright Sampson finally did not hesitate to stand behind Jane Sampson and protect her.

Blood is thicker than water, that’s true.

But sometimes, companionship through growth and the bonds of care can surpass everything.

Father Sampton, as the head of the family, never concealed his desire for control. Now, realizing that he had been deceived by his wife and biological daughter, one can only imagine the fury in his heart.

Even Father Sampton wondered in his mind if, before he proposed to the Black Family to exchange his biological daughter, Julie Sampson, for his other daughter, Jane Sampson, and her marriage contract with James Black, Julie Sampson and her foolish father had done anything that led to the resolute rejection of his proposal by the Black Family. Moreover, they made it clear that if the Sampton Family did not value their in-laws, the Black Family weren’t eager to form an alliance with them either.

”Fools! Every single one of you, fools!” Father Sampton cursed the two women sitting over there uncontrollably with rage, ”And especially you, Julie Sampson! I’m telling you, as long as Jane Sampson remains James Black’s wife, you’d better behave yourself and not covet her possessions all day long!”

After berating Julie Sampson, Father Sampton then asked, ”And what’s this about the shares?”

Because the stake was small, it was not possible for Father Sampton to be aware of every change in shares. Had Bright Sampton not brought it up today, Father Sampton would have had no idea when he would finally learn about Mother Sampton taking back the shares she had intended for Jane Sampson.

”Here I am, unable to find more stuff to give her, to keep her heart a bit longer, and you’re quite capable, aren’t you? Taking back what you’ve given before, do you despise how deeply rooted Jane’s ties with this home are, huh?”

Father Sampton smashed the teacup beside him. He wasn’t a fool; he could clearly feel the connection between Jane Sampson and the family growing fainter since she married out, and he was aware that his wife favored their biological daughter, Julie Sampson, a bit more.

”Daddy, what’s wrong with mother taking back her shares? Why should Jane Sampson, an outsider, be holding so many of the company’s shares?” Julie Sampson defended in a low voice, ”Aren’t you afraid that Jane Sampson might do something unfavorable to the company?”

In Father Sampton’s heart, his biological daughter Julie Sampson was indeed different from Jane Sampson. She was his flesh and blood, and he was naturally somewhat partial to her. But he hadn’t expected this biological daughter to be troublesome as well, actually convincing his wife to take back the shares she had given away.
