CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 134: Chapter 142: All

”Why would she do something detrimental to the company at home?” Bright Sampton choked out at Julie Sampton, ”When has she ever done something that harms others and doesn’t benefit herself like you?”

”Long hair, short sight, what do you know! You’re just a girl, you play your role as a host, you don’t lack for food or clothes at home, why bother yourself with these matters?” Father Sampton scolded coldly, ”Jane is Old Master Black’s granddaughter-in-law, he’s protective of her, and James Black seems to be protective as well. Jane holds a good number of shares in her hands, in the eyes of the Black Family, helping Sampton Clan is helping Jane make money, don’t you understand the difference in interests? Do you not know how many benefits Sampton Clan has received from the Black Family every year? Do you think by stripping Jane of the shares she holds in Sampton Clan, you’ll have made a profit?”

”The old are dumb, the young even dumber!” Father Sampton kicked away the broken glass at his foot and pointed at Julie Sampton, ”Have the company’s lawyer come see you tonight, and hand over all the shares in your possession to Jane Sampson. If she doesn’t want them, then you’ll kneel down and beg her to take them!”

”Daddy!”

”Old Sampton!”

The mother and daughter were shocked still.

All of them?

”I gave all my shares to my daughter, if you have her give them all to Jane, then Julie and I will have nothing left! At most..., at most, we can just have the daughter return what she took previously.” The voice of Mother Sampton trembled, she had seldom seen her husband so furiously enraged after so many years of marriage.

”Do you think you’re dealing with a beggar? Jane was brought up by you as a little lass; don’t you understand her character? How much was taken, how much to return, do you think she cares for that? If she really cared about those things, she would not have quietly returned them to you previously, without even letting me, her father, know!”

Father Sampton saw more clearly than the two. Jane Sampson had a reserved nature and had no intention to compete for more.

If at that time his wife had made Jane return the shares and Jane had brought the matter to him, her father, then today, Father Sampton would not have been so insistent on having Julie give all her shares to Jane.

Today he had spoken in anger about severing ties with Jane, but now recalling it, it was hurtful. If a few shares could make amends, then it really wasn’t a big deal; it was just giving Jane a bit more in dividends every year. Compared to the benefits that Sampton Clan had gotten from the Black Family, those dividends were nothing.

After scolding his wife and daughter, Father Sampton turned to look at Bright Sampton, who was sitting there, and said earnestly, ”In this family, your sister has always been closest to you. She cared for you the most when you were a child. You should stay in touch with your sister, don’t let the bond between siblings grow cold. Your sister may seem indifferent, but she’s a person of deep feelings.”

With Bright Sampton being there, as well as Old Sir Sampton and the old lady, Father Sampton had no worries that Jane holding more shares would do something to the company, nor was he afraid that Jane, becoming too ambitious, would override him as her father.

”Dad, my relationship with my sister is good, but it’s not about winning her over. She’s my sister, my family, I won’t use her,” Bright Sampton, of course, knew the insinuation in his father’s words and couldn’t help but argue a bit irritably.

”Yes, I know you and your sister have a good relationship,” Father Sampton suddenly smiled, ”Dad has high hopes for you, don’t disappoint me. Don’t neglect your schoolwork, study hard, and next year, I will send you abroad to study. After graduation, you should come to help me in the company.”
