Chapter 107: Chapter 115: Don’t Allow You to Do This

Seeing Jane Sampson fall silent, Daniel Taylor was once again plunged into deep self-doubt, ”Did I remember it wrong again?”

After muttering to himself, Daniel Taylor then cast the matter aside and invited Jane Sampson to sit down. He took a pad from the drawer and handed it to Jane Sampson, ”First take a look at Evelyn Woods’s costume for the role, pretty nice, huh? Oh, and tonight the film crew is having a dinner gathering, come join us. They’re all participating in the costume fitting shoot tomorrow, and I’ll introduce you to some of your seniors.”

Jane Sampson was genuinely grateful for Daniel Taylor’s constant efforts to help her.

In this circle, especially for someone new like her, meeting benefactors like Sister Tin and Director Daniel Taylor was truly invaluable.

Based on this alone, Jane Sampson felt that she needed to be more tolerant of Director Daniel Taylor’s memory.

The costume for the role of Evelyn Woods was indeed stunning at first glance, just as King had said. The pink set, which Evelyn wears before the incident, exuded a youthful, charming, and adorable aura, and after that, the jade green and white brought a sense of sober coolness gained through experiencing the vicissitudes of life.

There were quite a few people at the dinner that evening, one table for actors and another for the main personnel.

Jane Sampson was sitting next to Daniel Taylor’s left hand, with the male lead, Jiang Chengge, on his right, then came the female lead, Olivia Chip, and Matthew Chip was next to Jane Sampson.

Maybe because they had scenes together and had met and talked during the audition, Matthew Chip’s tone was somewhat more familiar when he spoke to Jane Sampson.

Perhaps Daniel Taylor really treated Jane Sampson like a younger sister; while everyone at the table was drinking wine, only in front of Jane Sampson was there a cup of juice. Not that Jane Sampson declined to drink, but Daniel Taylor didn’t even ask for her preference and straightforwardly ordered a jug of fresh juice for her. Because of this action by Daniel Taylor, those who originally wanted to toast her also quieted down.

The people at the table were discussing the script while drinking, but Jane Sampson wasn’t very familiar with everyone, so she didn’t join the conversation. After all, being a minor role, she really had nothing to say.

However, Matthew Chip suddenly found a topic and started chatting with her. At first, he shared quite a few amusing experiences he had while filming. Later, he suddenly asked Jane Sampson, ”I heard from Assistant King that you know Ms. Little, right?”

”Yeah.”

Although she didn’t want to flaunt her connection with Ms. Little in front of others, it was likely they would meet tomorrow since Ms. Little was planning a cooperation with the film crew, hence Jane Sampson couldn’t conceal it and she admitted it.

”I heard Ms. Little is currently preparing a new song and selecting actors for the MV. Has Ms. Little invited you? If so, and if I manage to secure the role of the MV male lead, maybe we’ll have the chance to work together again,” Matthew Chip said with a smile after speaking, ”Last time we acted together, it felt really great.”

”I’ve heard Ms. Little mention that she’s planning to look for newcomers from major colleges for this MV.”

Director Taylor who was sitting next to them suddenly joined the conversation, then looked at Matthew Chip and raised his wine cup with a smile, ”Look at how your teacher and Jane talk; your wine cup has stayed the same from the beginning until now, that won’t do. Tonight we may not get you drunk, but you can’t go on like this either.”

With that remark from Director Taylor, the people at the table turned their attention to Matthew Chip and Jane Sampson. Director Taylor then stood up and patted Jane Sampson, ”I’ll switch places with you. I need to have a good drink or two with Matthew Chip.”
