I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 1309: Chapter 1308: How Did Things Change?

The Manager remained unmoved; any possibility of normal interaction with this Middle-aged Woman was zero. So he said to the man, ”We’ve already understood what happened. Words alone are not proof, why don’t you come with us and watch the surveillance footage, the video and audio are clear.”

The man wanted to say he wouldn’t watch, but looking at his mother’s injured foot, that kind of injury will definitely cost money. It wasn’t that he was reluctant to spend money, but spending it like this felt humiliating, so he decided to follow the Manager to watch the footage, hoping to find any excuse to make a big deal out of it.

Ten minutes later, the man walked out with a sullen face, glaring at the four boys. He had seen the footage, and there was simply no point to exploit, but hearing what those four little brats said was infuriating enough.

However, he had no means to counter this point. His mother was unreasonable first. Everyone just had to wait a little longer, and they would get a turn; why insist on asking people to give up their seat? Those kids were standing in line honestly!

The four little brats were annoying, and his mother was annoying too. Both parties were equally bad; he couldn’t even find a way to pick a fight. Later, he considered making an issue out of the toe injury incident but was left speechless after seeing the footage.

It turns out his mother tried to hit the kids with a chair!

The ridiculous part was that she didn’t hit the kids but ended up hitting herself. He clearly saw his mother’s hand let go. The four boys were standing far away, with a table between them. Even if he wanted to accuse them of a scam, there was no chance!

The man’s face was dark, his mood extremely bad. They merely came out for a meal, a joyous thing, and how did it become like this!

”Alright, I won’t say anything else. My mother was injured at your restaurant; just compensate us with medical expenses, and I won’t bother you further.” The man said angrily.

The Manager’s lips curled slightly with a professional smile, ”We don’t compensate medical expenses. Additionally, please pay for the damaged chair. If you have any issues, please speak with the police, as we’ve already contacted them.”

The man’s eyes widened as he stared at the Manager, ”Police?”

”Over such a small issue you called the police?”

”Your restaurant is in such a prime location, making so much money but can’t afford a bit of medical expenses? After paying the expenses, we would still come here to dine, still patronize your business. How can people nowadays not understand social graces!”

Then the Manager spoke again, ”Lastly, sir, to maintain the proper business operations of our store and ensure the safety of other customers, so that they can dine in peace, you and your mother have been blacklisted from our store and will not be served in the future.”

The Middle-aged Woman was dumbfounded, and the man was too shocked to speak. It was the first time they encountered being blacklisted like this. At this moment, their faces burned, and the surrounding people’s pointing and stares felt like sharp swords.

Just as the mother and son were still in shock, two police officers walked in from outside. Upon seeing these officers, the man instantly deflated, and the Middle-aged Woman dared not cause further trouble.

After the Manager explained to the officers, they confirmed the situation through the surveillance and made the mother and son pay for the chair on the spot, mediated, and then let the mother and son leave.

Jia Xiaoyu stood by watching foolishly, still not understanding how this dramatic turn of events came to be.
