I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 1245: Chapter 1244: Mental Collapse

Luo Yirui led the youths running all the way up without stopping, knowing that a fierce battle was about to start below.

The reason they could proceed so smoothly was that when Grandpa Desan was leading Director Ma around, he received a communication from his father, telling him to wait for the signal, which would be the explosion on the roof.

Once the explosion occurred, he would immediately lead the youths to burst through the second level, at which point the electronic door would open for them.

Luo Yirui felt somewhat excited in his heart; his father had arrived at last!

While they were running up the stairs, intense gunfire sounded from below, making Luo Yirui feel a bit uneasy, worrying if his father and the others would be alright!

They rushed all the way to the outer building on the first floor before the youths stopped, gasping for breath. It wasn’t the two flights of stairs that exhausted them, but the tension in their hearts.

”We have to get out of here!” Luo Yirui shouted.

Regardless of whether it was his father or those mercenaries raised by the Nie Family, they all possessed explosive weapons, making Luo Yirui feel unsafe remaining in the building. Besides, staying here offered no way out and made them easily trapped inside.

A group of people followed Luo Yirui, running outside. Just as they ran out of the outer building, they encountered a team of uniformed individuals coming toward them. Fu Xuan Ge was shocked upon seeing them.

”Damn!”

Those in white clothes were the staff here, whereas those in grey uniforms were the security personnel!

Luo Yirui was also shocked by the stance of the incoming group, especially as they immediately changed direction upon seeing him and the others, closing in from all sides.

There were few staff members, who ran into the outer building without stopping, while there were about ten security personnel, some even carrying batons and stun sticks. Even without weapons, ten kids were no match for them.

The youths turned to run back, only to find it was too late. As they dashed forward, several security personnel wielding batons appeared behind them, grinning maliciously.

The youths instinctively gathered together, standing back-to-back, watching these men cautiously.

Upon closer inspection, these men appeared somewhat disheveled, their clothes damaged, with some even bearing injuries!

Luo Yirui noticed a security officer not far away, tilting his head, holding a gun. The muzzle wasn’t aimed at them; instead, he toyed with it in his hands.

The faces of these men displayed a sickly frenzy, evidently having suffered significantly in the earlier battle, perhaps with many turned into cannon fodder, seeing them with a gaze filled with rebelliousness.

”I was wondering where the test subjects ran off to, turns out they’re here!” a security officer sneered, knocking his baton against his right palm.

Thinking they might escape, yet continuously falling into danger, left the small youths somewhat collapsing, with some younger or less mentally strong ones beginning to sob softly.

A youth cried out in panic, ”We surrender!” His voice was tinged with sobs.

The youth’s showing weakness didn’t evoke any sympathy from the security personnel, instead eliciting laughter all around.

”Do we need them to surrender, brothers?” the security chief asked loudly, wielding the handgun.

”No!” the sound of jeering erupted loudly.

Madness flickered in the security chief’s eyes, ”Stop with the talk, get in there and kill them one by one. They’re meant to die anyways!”
