Chapter 1244: Chapter 1243: Enough Time to Catch You

Director Ma was relieved to see that Desan didn’t continue to make him open the boxes, as it would take quite some time, and the contents should not be moved haphazardly.

”How many vehicles have been prepared?” Desan asked.

”Two large trucks, three small cars. Rest assured, we can definitely evacuate safely. In addition to our current armed forces, a Dark Mercenary Corps will arrive, and no matter how capable those attackers are, they won’t be able to defeat us with so many people.” Director Ma said with a smile.

Desan nodded and then turned his gaze to the corner where the test subjects were.

”These are unused?” Desan asked.

Upon hearing his question, anger appeared on the faces of the youngsters. What do you mean unused!

Luo Yirui hung his head low, making it impossible to see his facial expression.

Director Ma nodded, ”Unused, all of good quality. Initially, we intended to take them, but manpower is limited, and unexpectedly they ran in here by themselves. It can only be said that our luck is extraordinarily good!”

The youngsters looked constipated, who could have thought they’d stumble upon the enemy’s temporary base by chance?

”Luck is indeed good,” Desan nodded, looking back at the unusually spacious site. ”Is the passage over there?”

Director Ma nodded, ”That’s correct, our construction here is quite ingenious. When the trucks arrive, the entire wall on the east side will open, allowing the trucks to enter, load the goods, and then leave.”

His words were filled with pride, as if he were praising his child.

”Where are the trucks?” Desan continued to ask.

Although Director Ma was slightly impatient, he didn’t show it at all, maintaining a smile.

”About fifteen minutes away.”

Desan nodded, ”That’s enough time.”

Director Ma was startled, ”Enough time for what?”

Suddenly, Desan pulled out a gun, grabbed Director Ma’s collar, pulling him close, and pressed the muzzle to his temple.

”Enough time to capture you.”

Director Ma was stunned by this turn of events. What was happening?

He was slow to react, but the Dark Mercenary Corps acted quickly, all aiming their guns at Desan.

Director Ma immediately broke into a cold sweat, raised both hands, and shouted, ”Don’t shoot!”

He was truly afraid these people might hit him by accident.

At that moment, there was a loud ’boom’, dust and stones flying as a big hole was blasted in the roof, and the Dark Mercenary Corps swiftly crouched down, their vision obscured by the dense smoke.

Just as the loud noise occurred, Luo Yirui shouted, ”Run with me!” Leading the charge towards the entrance to the second underground level.

The youngsters had already been warned beforehand, so they felt no confusion and followed Luo Yirui’s lead to charge forward.

The previously tightly closed door to the second level was effortlessly pushed open by Luo Yirui, but he wasn’t surprised and continued running out.

At this moment, the Dark Mercenary members couldn’t care about those little kids anymore, each cautiously watching the rooftop, knowing that the ones who blasted the roof must be those attackers outside.

It’s said they only had ten people, yet they fought their way deep inside; their prowess was truly terrifying!

The dust and smoke filled the air, and some ruthless members of the Dark Mercenaries lifted their guns to shoot into the smoke on the rooftop.
