Chapter 1222: Chapter 1221: There Was a Person

Little Fatty’s exclamation drew everyone’s attention, and at the same time, all their gazes shifted over.

From their angle, they could only see part of the Sky Bridge and couldn’t see the door of the third building, so they looked in the direction Little Fatty was pointing but saw nothing.

Little Fatty’s face was filled with suspicion, ”There was someone standing there just now!”

Everyone looked at him silently. The glass on the Sky Bridge was transparent, though dirty and not as clear, but whether there was a person standing there was still visible to everyone.

Seeing that no one believed him, Little Fatty angrily said, ”Why would I lie to you? There was really someone standing there just now, and they just disappeared in the blink of an eye!”

Fu Xuan Ge frowned, ”Indeed, there’s no need to lie, but we really didn’t see anyone.”

Little Fatty opened his mouth, feeling unable to explain himself; he had seen it clearly just now, there really was someone standing there.

Jia Xiaoyu looked over cautiously, ”Could it be the Vertical Pupil?”

The surviving members of their group truly carried deep shadows in their hearts.

Upon hearing this, all the youngsters couldn’t help but look towards the entrance of the Sky Bridge from their building. It was empty there, with messy papers and some chairs brought over, tilted to one side. Other than that, there was no shadow of the Vertical Pupil.

Everyone knew that the Vertical Pupil’s intelligence wasn’t high, so it couldn’t stealthily ambush them. Most likely, Little Fatty was mistaken.

Little Fatty remained silent, knowing clearly whether he’d made a mistake.

They were not particularly far from the Sky Bridge; from this position, it was very clear. He had indeed seen a person just now, and it was indeed a person! Not a Vertical Pupil!

The most distinctive feature of the Vertical Pupil was those eyes, yellow-brown with a black center, but the eyes of the person he saw just now were clearly different!

He didn’t have a wooden expression or the round eyes of a Vertical Pupil; it seemed like he was observing them!

Little Fatty was willing to swear on popcorn. If he was wrong, he wouldn’t eat popcorn for the rest of his life!

But he was very puzzled. The adult-like Vertical Pupils had already charged over, and from the howls now coming from inside, it was clear there was a fight. So how did that person appear there?

That position, they must have come from the third building. If they’d walked over from the second building, they would’ve been seen from this position!

Little Fatty was utterly puzzled. A few times, he thought he might have been mistaken himself, but he couldn’t lie to himself. He had indeed seen a person!

Not knowing how to argue, Little Fatty simply didn’t speak anymore. He turned to glance at Luo Yirui, unable to tell from his expression whether he believed him or not, feeling a bit frustrated inside.

If Luo Yirui had said this, probably eighty percent of them would believe it.

Luo Yirui didn’t speak, which didn’t mean he didn’t believe; maybe he was quicker to react and happened to see a shadow disappearing towards the third building when he looked over.

In fact, he was very shocked inside. He was very aware of how bloody and brutal the situation inside the third building’s door was. At this time, any person appearing there would immediately attract the attention of all the Vertical Pupils and direct their attacks toward the person.

So what was going on with that person? Luo Yirui didn’t know.

He didn’t speak, not because he didn’t want to; this matter was too strange, with no explanations available, speaking could only cause panic, and random guesses would easily provoke fear. It was better not to mention it for now.
