Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 1018: Chapter 594: Decision/Tian_2

So, I hope Mom can put most of the shares in my name, so I can stay by Amy’s side openly.

Then, I’ll gradually transfer the property to her name bit by bit, fulfilling both my wishes and Mom’s. Can I do that?”

”Monique, have you decided to be with Amy for this lifetime?” Emma’s expression softened.

”Yes, from the moment I first saw Amy, I decided that I would marry her in this lifetime. She can only belong to me. If...” Monique let out a cold snort, ”if any other man dares to come near her, I’ll make sure he can’t live or die peacefully!”

Emma sighed softly: ”But Monique, Amy has found her father.”

”So what? Can her father stop me from seeing her? No matter what, she was raised by mom, and that’s an undeniable fact.

And I am Mom’s son. As the foster mother’s son, I still have the right to see Amy, don’t I? Aren’t the Chinese the most particular about etiquette? Do they want to slap their own faces?”

”Alright.” Emma closed her eyes and nodded, ”Mom agrees with you, go ahead with this matter, but you also need to promise Mom that these assets must ultimately be transferred to Amy’s account.

Mom doesn’t want to end up in hell after death. That feeling is truly terrifying. Monique, you must not harm Mom, do you understand?”

”I promise Mom, I will definitely do it.” Monique nodded earnestly.

Lisha and Alice’s eyes quickly flashed with disappointment—their original plan couldn’t proceed. With the assets in Monique’s name, they didn’t dare to make any moves...

”Please leave, I need to rest for a while.” Emma wearily closed her eyes, truly exhausted.

Perhaps due to psychological reasons, she had been dreaming of Luo Xiang these days, dreaming of Luo Xiang confronting her, questioning her why she went back on her word and didn’t treat her daughter well.

The most terrifying part was that at the end of each dream, she saw herself being cast into hell, surrounded by a sea of flames, amidst wreckage and ruins, engulfed by the fire, the searing pain so vivid...

Thus, she hurriedly asked the lawyer to come and change the will. Originally, although aware of her harshness towards Luo Lian, she only planned to give her 30% of the shares.

Now, she even considered giving all the shares to Amy. In the end, after struggling with the decision, she set aside 40% for her own children.

In her view, having fought to develop L.L to its current state, she believed Luo Xiang wouldn’t blame her for this. As a mother, she couldn’t help but want to secure something for her own children.

Now, her son begged for her help, and she couldn’t help but relent again, but her heart was even more fearful. What if her son didn’t fulfill the promise, would she truly end up in the fiery depths of hell?

Seemingly sensing her struggle, Monique returned to the ward, gently stroking Emma’s back: ”Mom, don’t worry, I will keep my word.

Think about it, haven’t I always treated Amy well, even if you were against it? Whatever I have, Amy will have it too, right?”

”Yes.” Emma grasped her son’s wrist, ”Monique, Mom doesn’t know what’s wrong with me, always having such terrifying dreams.

Perhaps this is God’s way of reminding me to atone for my mistakes before I leave, to determine whether I go to heaven or hell after death. Monique, you must not let Mom go to hell, understand?”

”I know, I know, rest assured.” Monique patted her lightly, though he felt a bit worried. It seemed Emma’s days were numbered; otherwise, she wouldn’t be so troubled by such issues.

It’s certain that Amy, in her current condition, wouldn’t come abroad to bid farewell to Mom. This could be Mom’s biggest regret, right?

He was almost certain that Amy’s predicament was caused by Lisha and Alice, but as Alice said, where’s the evidence?

After all, they were his sisters, and he couldn’t just dispose of them without careful thought, despite the harsh words he spoke. But how could he truly act on them?

Unless the evidence was laid out before him, he would not show mercy.

Amy is the person he values most, and that will never change.

...

Five days later, Luo Lian received a letter. It was from Monique, stating that Emma had left this world three days ago, hoping she could return to attend the funeral.
