Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 669: Chapter 392: Happiness

Luo Ye’s teasing was too much for Ye Xuan, who was already in high spirits. With a low cry of ”Little rascal!” he quickly turned off the stove and turned around to embrace her tightly. His fiery kisses landed on her forehead, the tip of her nose, her cheeks... Finally, capturing her rosy lips, they intertwined restlessly, his agile tongue darting in, prying open her teeth to find her softness and tangling with it...

Luo Ye inwardly blamed herself for stirring the fire, but her body uncontrollably yearned to be close to him, weak moans escaping her throat... His demands grew more fervent, his large hand caressing her back repeatedly, unknowingly leading her to the living room.

Feeling the heat of his body, Luo Ye warned herself that she must not tease him casually in the future; after all, the bodies of men and women are ultimately different.

Gradually, her mind could no longer ponder, her soft little tongue awkwardly reciprocating, her moans clearing, her body leaning limply against his.

It was almost the death of Ye Xuan; her prominent chest pressed against his, letting him keenly feel her firmness and resilience, which only fueled his body’s burning desire even more. The last bit of rationality in his mind made him reluctantly separate from her, looking down at her slightly dazed eyes, he huskily said: ”Ye’er, why did I meet you so early?”

Coming back to her senses, Luo Ye blinked and then understood his meaning. Her cheeks, already rosy, blushed even brighter...

Her coy and shy demeanor somehow calmed his mind. Holding her, they moved to the sofa, and he chuckled: ”Ye’er, sitting here is safer for you. I’ll quickly cook.”

”Xiao Xuanxuan, this just shows that your self-control is still lacking,” Mou Ye began to tease again.

Ye Xuan shot her a look: ”Keep playing with fire. If I could maintain self-control in front of you, what would that imply? Think about it.”

”Impotence...” Luo Ye blurted out reflexively, immediately regretting it and wanting to slap her own mouth, feeling utterly embarrassed. She flopped onto the sofa, pretending to be dead.

Watching Luo Ye curl up on the sofa, her head hidden behind the cushion, Ye Xuan’s lips curled into a large smile, perhaps that was exactly why she was so attractive to him. Sometimes as cunning as a fox, sometimes as clueless as a rabbit.

After setting the soup to simmer, he briskly approached the sofa, bent down and playfully slapped her bottom: ”Hey, you’ve covered your head, but you didn’t hide your butt well.”

”Big hooligan...” Luo Ye murmured from behind the pillow, her voice muffled.

Ye Xuan softly called out: ”Ye’er...”

Luo Ye quickly got up, smiling apologetically: ”I meant to say, the big hooligan isn’t you.”

”Then who is it?” Ye Xuan raised an eyebrow.

”It’s me, it’s me.” Mou Ye nodded earnestly, her face sincere.

”Really?” Ye Xuan cradled her small face, scrutinizing her: ”Hmm, you do look a bit like one.”

”Stop it!” Luo Ye kicked him playfully.

Ye Xuan sat next to her, embracing her, his expression turning serious: ”Ye’er, you know, my parents’ marriage was unhappy. All my life, their interaction was just a bit better than strangers.

So, what I’ve always admired the most is actually the mundane things ordinary couples do together, like buying groceries, cooking, taking walks, watching TV and chatting, or even just sitting quietly not talking, busy with our own things, but a single glance can convey a depth of emotion...”

Luo Ye poked him: ”Ye, you’re getting a bit melancholy.”

Ye Xuan gently rubbed her cheek, responding: ”Because I never experienced it as a child, that’s why I long for it. Luckily, heaven took care of me, sending you into my life, so I don’t have to yearn anymore.

Ye’er, since Uncle Luo and Aunt Wen have such a good relationship, you naturally can’t understand the... cold aura between my parents.

Living in that kind of environment, it can make one feel particularly suppressed. Back then, the three of us kept busy with our things; Dad with his work, me with my studies, Mom with her anger.”

Really, back then, my mom would often inexplicably lose her temper, and both dad and I didn’t want to be around her, not until I grew up and understood the pain in her heart, did I start caring more about her.

For this reason, Grandpa was worried that I would resist marriage because of my parents’ marital relationship, and ever since I came of age, he has said more than once that my marriage is my own business and outsiders should not interfere.

Actually, when you and I pretended to be a couple back then, the old man hinted more than once, hoping that I would find a girl I liked sooner.”

Luo Ye’s eyes rolled around, hugging his arm: ”Tell me, back when we pretended to be a couple, did you already take it seriously?”

”Indeed I did, but I wasn’t sure at that time.” Ye Xuan smiled: ”You know, it troubled me for quite a while that you were six years younger than me.

If you were 20 and I was 26, I wouldn’t mind, but every time I remembered you were underage, I felt a bit abnormal.”

Luo Ye lifted her eyebrows happily: ”Did you also go to Island City on a mission purposely to see me?”

”Can we not ask anymore, is that okay?”

Luo Ye playfully patted him: ”Alright, no more questions, rest assured, the things you dream of are what I like. In the future, I will give you a warm home and make you feel especially blessed.”

”Little girl, you...” Ye Xuan was speechless.

Luo Ye pointed at the kitchen: ”Quick, go check the soup, it’s burned.”

”Impossible, I’ve been timing it.”

”Thud thud thud...”

While they were joyfully teasing each other, there came a rapid knocking at the door.

”It must be Jiang Yang.” Ye Xuan said as he got up to open the door, and sure enough, there stood Jiang Yang with a mischievous smile, blinking at him: ”How’s it going, I didn’t interrupt your good times, did I?”

”We haven’t eaten yet, you go back home first.” Ye Xuan said, attempting to close the door.

”That won’t do, I’ll have dinner at your place, Old Jiang will be down in a bit!” Jiang Yang squeezed in forcefully: ”Thinking of my sister’s innocence, we’ve decided this is necessary.”

Ye Xuan frowned at her unhappily: ”Didn’t Captain Jiang cook? Why are you all coming to mooch off me?”

”Sorry, hehe...” Jiang Yang grinned: ”Old Jiang went to answer his wife’s call, it took a bit too long, and he ended up burning the food.

Seeing how upset he was, I kindly told him that Xiao Xuanxuan is at home making soup, then he sent me down.”

Ye Xuan snorted: ”No need to ask, I know that call from your sister-in-law was your doing, deliberately spinning yarns with Captain Jiang, just so the food would burn and you’d have nothing to eat.”

”Too smart, too bad there’s no prize.” Jiang Yang stiffened her neck: ”It’s your fault for not letting me in earlier. Let me tell you, not helping others is not helping yourself, regretting now? Too late!”
