Bear School Astartes

The local Second Team Leader believes that using monster materials while maintaining a simple, unadorned steel appearance is a hallmark of the high integration of steel and materials.

But Lann believes that the equipment in this world, which uses monster materials, is truly exaggerated.

In this world, monsters, more or less, possess skills beyond mere physical combat.

Whether it is spewing a large amount of venom, fire, or even discharging electricity, all of these are unrelated to supernatural power.

They all come from the special organs inside these monsters or their unique ecological habits.

All are products of nature.

And the exaggeration of the local forging technique lies in... they can make these special materials ’alive’ on the equipment!

Take the Sword Master’s sword hanging behind him, made from the materials of the Winged Fire Dragon.

The blade uses the venom sack of the Winged Fire Dragon.

In battle, the venom sack on the sword can even function as if it’s still inside the Winged Fire Dragon’s body, secreting potent venom.

Other weapons can cut out flames, lightning, and explosive dust, all because the monster organs on the weapons are still alive!

Perhaps because he has seen too much of his world’s technology and doesn’t find it novel, Lann feels that the hunters here have taken the use of monster materials to an exaggerated level.

’Click,’ Lann fastened the latch on the arm armor and flexed his wrist.

”Thanks, good craftsmanship.”

”No need to be polite; you’ve shown me such a high integration alloy, I’m excited. Here, this is the ammunition.”

Saying this, the Second Team Leader brought out a large iron box.

”Rifling and auto-loading aren’t new to us, but this miniaturization approach is the first time I’ve seen it. I’ve made some special bullets for you with hollow design, so you can put all sorts of ’interesting’ things inside. It’s enough to last you a long time.”

”Whew~” Lann raised an eyebrow and blew a whistle, thanking again. ”Thanks.”

”If you want to thank someone, thank my main apprentice. To make a hook and rope that meets your weight requirement, he used the yellow hair from the head of a Fierce Jackal Dragon, the smell was quite torturous.”

The Second Team Leader waved his hand.

Lann nodded towards the man behind him, still swinging a heavy hammer near the forge.

”I’ll treat you to a meal with a voucher later, don’t forget!”

The man wiped the oil and sweat off his face, revealing a row of white teeth on his dark face, and nodded.

After greeting his main apprentice, when Lann was about to leave, the Second Team Leader hesitantly stopped him again.

”I say... aren’t you going to let me modify your sword a bit?”

With a face wearing an eye-patch, he showed an expression of a little embarrassed anticipation.

A bit of ’fly rubbing hands’ déjà vu.

”Your place can integrate monster materials into steel with high fusion; your sword is such an excellent base material. Wouldn’t it be a waste to stop here? You should embed something into it!”

The Second Team Leader seemed almost anxious.

It seemed he really wanted to use foreign world weapons as a base and see what kind of masterpiece he could create.

But this wasn’t the first time he mentioned it to Lann, and the Demon Hunter’s response was no different from before.

”First, [Muddy Stream] is a great sword!”

Lann said seriously to the Second Team Leader, drawing a twitch from the old man’s mouth.

Forgive him for being old, but he had never seen such a ’miniature’ great sword.

”Second, this great sword is for hunting large monsters, but I am still learning the hunters’ skills and am unsure about which weapon to choose. Once I learn enough and decide, I’ll let you showcase your talent.”

”Pfft, sounds nice, who knows when you’re going to learn till?”

Rejected once again, the Second Team Leader turned his head with a grievance, muttering softly while picking up a cup.

He wasn’t always a blacksmith; in his youth, he was also a skilled hunter specializing in Light Crossbow Cannon and heavy hammer.

But even with Light Crossbow Cannon and heavy hammer, technologies that aren’t too complex among the fourteen hunter weapons, he learned until he was dizzy and in practical situations found himself flustered.

After realizing he lacked combat talent, he specialized in the forging technology field.

Though he was quite strong, bridging from his mature combat skills into the hunters’ combat technology system... he was not confident in the efficiency of such learning.

”Oh, speed shouldn’t be a concern; I’ve already learned more than half of it.”

”Pft!”

Just after muttering and turning his head to drink water, the Second Team Leader uncontrollably sprayed water back into the cup. His eyes widened, his throat coughing ’ho-lo, ho-lo.’

Lann stood with his arms crossed, leaning against the Forging District’s door, as if waiting to see this scene, with a wicked grin.

”Although I’ve only memorized the moves in my head and haven’t used them all, it’s enough for me to discern what’s suited and what’s not.”

”Almost there, buddy.”

After saying this, Lann turned and left, leaving behind the Forging District boss being patted on the back by his main apprentice while coughing.

”Is the training area available now? I reserved it before.”

Lann turned to a small reception window and asked. The receptionist was an Elu cat with gray fur and white spots.

The training area is a facility built within the Star Base, featuring unique terrains and targets for hunters to practice various weapons skills.

The Elu cat receptionist instinctively meowed, then checked the register.

After verifying, said: ”Confirmed meow, you can go over to train now, Sword Master is waiting for you meow.”

Lann raised an eyebrow in surprise but didn’t ask further. After receiving the stamp of approval from the cat, he headed to the training area.

Upon entering, indeed, the Sword Master equipped in Winged Fire Dragon gear was already waiting inside.

”Aiden didn’t tell me he wasn’t free today.”

The Demon Hunter scratched his head, asking as he walked in.

Aiden, though seemingly cheerful and sunny, sunny to the point of appearing foolishly happy.

But his skills aren’t fake.

He is almost like a shrunk version of Wende, knowing a bit of everything.

It is said that during his debut on the Old Continent, he was taken by his mentor into the guild’s ’Head Hunter Team.’

That is the guild’s direct advanced hunting team, where each hunter can proficiently handle several hunting weapons.

Through being constantly influenced, combined with good talent, Aiden quickly mastered everything at a young age.

Previously, he also volunteered to exchange progress with Lann.

But today...
