Bear School Astartes

In Lann’s perspective, what’s happening now is somewhat horrifying.

He came here because of Margaret’s magic power characteristics, but the target he saw suddenly had Tishaya’s face.

This first brought a sense of confusion.

But whether it was Margaret or Tishaya, he couldn’t stand by and do nothing. So, he continued to rush over without stopping.

Then, when he reached the front, before he could ask anything, ’Tishaya’ suddenly pounced and started kissing him wildly.

It directly startled him.

Of course, later Lann realized this wasn’t ’wild kissing,’ she came prepared!

His mouth was skillfully pried open, the soft and slippery touch needn’t be described, more importantly... the technique felt so familiar!

If Tishaya wasn’t the kind of pervert who wanted to monitor and ’learn’ even Margaret’s personal life after graduation, there was only one possibility.

Lann’s enhanced [Spiritual Vision] focused on ’Tishaya’s’ face at this moment.

He originally thought the magic glow on the opponent’s face was due to a magic necklace, magic earrings, magic cream, and so on, so he didn’t make much effort to see through it.

But once he concentrated, the illusion technique on Margaret’s face was immediately seen through by [Spiritual Vision].

In Lann’s eyes, her true appearance was revealed.

”Mmm! What are you doing here?!”

The female warlock’s wet kiss was as passionate as ever, even more entwined due to her current turbulent and complicated emotions.

After pushing her away, Lann, somewhat stunned, asked.

”To find you! What else?!... No, I mean. As a member of the Talent and Skill Association, I decided to control this unjust war.”

Margaret first spoke habitually straightforwardly, then seemed to suddenly realize whose identity she was using now and hastily corrected herself.

Then she nervously glanced at the Shield Guard Squad every now and then.

”Anyway... you’ve about done what you need to do, right? The Niflgaard people are about to lose. Stay here and protect me while I cast spells, just like before.”

Margaret held Lann’s arm, looking up at him as she spoke.

”You didn’t ask me to leave with you immediately.” Lann raised an eyebrow, ”That surprises me a little.”

Margaret looked into Lann’s eyes, those cat-like eyes held a rare light-heartedness and joy.

The female warlock first seemed taken aback, then her expression shifted to discomfort, anger, confusion, and finally resignation and relief.

”You’re diverting the topic again.” The female warlock shook her head gently, ”But it’s also a way to express your stance... I actually expected it.”

”Even if I found you, I couldn’t make you leave. I can’t stop what you want to do.”

”But why, knowing I can’t stop or persuade you, did I still come to this meat grinder?”

Margaret said absently, then smiled to herself before Lann could react.

”Maybe it was just to see you?”

Lann licked his lips, feeling more awkward than when he plunged into the Niflgaard people’s lines.

”It’s almost over.” The demon hunter’s large hand covered the female warlock’s shoulder, his tone firm. ”No need to worry, the most dangerous time has passed, only one final act remains, then this war will end.”

”I don’t know what you’ve seen or done in this war...” Margaret’s tone was low as she hugged Lann tightly, then released him.

”But since this is your decision, I will support you.”

The dense and low incantation flowed from Margaret’s mouth as she extended both hands toward Lann, a bit of warm-colored magic glow drifting from her palms to the demon hunter.

And finally, it formed a rotating, flickering magic rune around the demon hunter’s body.

”[Margaret Shield Technique], I improved [Alzur’s Shield], the original outer layer that retaliated damage using Alzur’s Thunder is now purely defensive. It’s enough to withstand one [Alzur Thunder Strike Technique] head-on.”

Lann’s eyes watched the runes floating and rotating beside him.

”I remember you saying: Alzur’s spells can’t be mastered by an ordinary warlock, he’s rumored to have extraordinary talent, his voice like a hunting horn, his words as skillful as a master speaker.”

”The difficulty isn’t that high.” Margaret said calmly, ”I just wasn’t interested before, but I tackled the books for three or four days before coming here, and learned what I needed.”

”Sleepless, for three or four days?” Lann asked her, and Margaret didn’t respond.

To make a female warlock accustomed to a luxurious, lazy lifestyle, come to a brutal battlefield and master the legendary Alzur’s spells in three to four days... even many knight novels wouldn’t write such an outrageous thing now.

But Margaret clearly didn’t mind these sacrifices.

”Stay safe, make it quick.”

”That’s my only demand, you wouldn’t listen to more anyway, so now! Immediately! Get out of my sight!”

”As you wish.” Lann looked into Margaret’s eyes, bowed slightly, ”My lady.”

The demon hunter continued moving towards the opposite slope where the Niflgaard hadn’t yet completely collapsed.

And among the Shield Guards protecting Margaret, a soldier was sketching something with a charred stick picked from the battlefield, behind his tower shield.

”Time to work, buddies... Hey, what are you up to?”

The Shield Guard Captain raised his shield diligently, blocking the female warlock’s half body from the now sparse arrows on the battlefield.

He then leaned behind a comrade’s tower shield to see what he was up to.

The comrade used the charred stick to sketch on the inside of the tower shield, a silhouette of two figures, big and small, kissing appeared on the wide surface.

”The pressure’s much less now, I wanted to make some records I can refine later. Maybe someone will collect my painting after the war ends?”

”Damn, you’ve got this in you?”

”My family runs a bookstore, boss. My dad enrolled me in a master’s oil painting class! Check out this angle, this composition, no amateur could do this!”

”Once I transpose it onto canvas, add the colors to build light and emotion... it may not be a masterpiece, but good enough to be a historical record of the war! I’m gonna call it ’The Victory Kiss’!”

”Well, I wish you great success, and... get your damn shield up! Dumbass!”

The drawing Shield Guard soldier was hit on the helmet by the captain with an iron glove, making his head buzz.

Margaret cocked her hunting pistol she retrieved from her spatial handbag, glancing at the inside of that Shield Guard’s tower shield.

What darkened her expression was: the woman’s face in the kiss...
