Genetic Ascension

Chapter 1234  Enjoy [Bonus]

The Duchess moved her hand to grab at Sylasʼ member. The moment she felt the heat she had been thinking about, it felt as though a jolt ran through her entire body, and her movements became more eager, more vigorous—albeit

clumsy in ways that were obvious to Sylas, but seemed to leave her in the dark.

Sylas didnʼt move, his eyes a bit clouded as he still seemed lost in thought.

The temptation was great.

It wasnʼt just about the Duchessʼ body, though… that was truly immaculate.

She wasnʼt carrying breasts the size of a manʼs head like Ansla was, and her hips werenʼt nearly so bulbous, but she was so well-proportioned, so delicate in all the right ways, so soft to the touch that she was no less enticing in her own ways.

No, she was far more perfect than Ansla in every way. There wasnʼt the slightest bit of asymmetry on her.

Her body was powerful, and yet soft, such that even her slightest movements caused ripples along her breasts down to her bottom. Her hair flowed naturally and sparkled along with her skin. She had not the slightest hint of hair on her, and she was just the slightest bit cold to the touch—as though to invite you to warm her up.

But to Sylas, she might as well have just been a bag of flesh.

His body was reacting as it would, but his mind was clear.

The problem he was facing was the path to power—the intoxicating sort of dangling carrot before his face… a path that would be so very easy to take.

Ravaging an E-tier beauty with the Lust Seed would almost certainly complete his technique. Bedding the Duchess just a single time would allow him to weed out a great amount of impurities and weaknesses in his foundation.

The change to his strength wouldnʼt be linear, but rather exponential.

It was hard to put a number on it when he couldnʼt even see his stats, but Sylas estimated that one night with the Duchess would make him twice as powerful as he was now… On the low end. It could even be as great as three times.

The reason for that wasnʼt just because she was an E-tier— though this was obviously a heavily weighing factor—but also because of her Race Grade and her suppressed Lineage.

Although she was no longer a member of an S-Grade Race, the lineage of one was still suppressed within her

somewhere, and that made taking her better than taking any normal D-Grade Demoness by several orders of magnitude.

Sylas felt that his advantage on the Golden Battlefield would be enormous already. But if he could tap into more of his potential as a D-Grade Race himself—removing some of the limitations caused by the weaknesses in his own lineage— then this sure win would become even more secure.

It had to be remembered that Sylasʼ weakness wasnʼt just the fact he was born from a weak F-Grade Race. He was also a child not recognized by the Grimblades, offset by not just one generation but two.

His father was already a weakened Grimblade, and he further went on to marry someone that weakened his

children even further.

Sylas had gotten rid of the most obvious result of that weakness, but he had obviously not managed to get to the very root of it all.

If he was correct about this last piece he needed… the Duchessʼ body was too important to him.

But at the same time, his Pride was getting the best of him right now.

The idea of having to fuck a woman to grow stronger felt… Gross.

It wasnʼt because of Cassarae. She would be angry, most probably. But he was also confident that something like this wouldnʼt come between them, because she understood his mind probably better than even he did.

This was about no one but Sylas himself.

ʼLawful Neutral… a Chaotic Spin…ʼ

That Chaotic Spin? It was Sylas and his own inner Pride. It often made him do things that, while aligning with the Law of the world he was in, didnʼt necessarily match what others would do.

It was why, despite his ability to rise to the top of Earthʼs academic field—or any field on Earth, really—he had never bothered to… because the world simply bored him.

And now, he was at another crossroads.

The irony was that he would sooner fuck the Duchess just to vent this Lust building up inside of him than just for power.

ʼWhy?ʼ Sylas asked himself.

Looking at the Duchess doing her best to entice him with her hands, stroking him faster in hopes that he would lose himself to his own Lust and plunge inside of her, Sylas looked to himself.

It was as he told the little girl. He didnʼt fear the True Pride Seed. There was a line between confidence and arrogance, and Sylas didnʼt believe that he was arrogant—even if others did.

The things he felt confident in accomplishing, he always had… so how was that arrogant?

But right now, he felt like he was flirting with the edge of arrogance. Why would he not fuck this woman other than the fact he felt it was beneath him? But was it beneath him if he would be too weak without this opportunity?

ʼDeeper than that…ʼ

Sylas sank even deeper into his thoughts. Why did he believe it was beneath him? Wasnʼt he Law Neutral? In a world like this, couldnʼt he just take whatever woman he wanted?

ʼI see…ʼ

Sylas finally understood.

He felt it would be beneath him because he knew he would like it. While it would help him grow stronger, he knew that he would enjoy every second of it. At his core, he still had all the same carnal desires of a man, and he wasnʼt as good at separating that part of himself as he hoped to be.

So the question was… what would he do about that?
