Chapter 1215  Ansla

The Young Miss didnʼt notice Sylasʼ appearance immediately, but it was hard for her not to when he scanned her stats a literal moment after, not caring and even using \ [Suppressive Scouting] to crush her rejection.

As Sylas had guessed, these Noble Demons didnʼt wear protective items on them—not to hide their stats, anyway.

That was because most wouldnʼt dare, and those that did dare would kill them in an instant for daring to be so protective.

The Demon Race probably didnʼt even have a method of protection for that reason.

[Ansla Avadavonic (EE+)]

[Level: 79]

—

She was a tall woman, barely an inch or two shorter than Sylas. Even after seemingly having come from battle, she wore a long red gown with a back open down to the small of her back and a V so deep down her front that the loose ruffles of fabric just barely swayed out of the way to reveal her belly button from time to time.

Her breasts were so large that it was a miracle such loose pieces of fabric managed to hide them at all, her hips so wide they seemed to play more a part in keeping the dress up than her shoulders themselves.

And then there was the woman herself.

Delicate features, lips as red as blood, and eyes no less crimson. She had a head of white hair braided back elegantly as though an Empress, so well done that it blended in perfectly with the curve of her white horns.

The horns were as smooth as jade and would have perfectly blended into her hair if not for the twinkling gold ornaments she wore on them, accessories that only accented their glimmering polish all the more.

Her skin was an almost ashy grey. It was an odd color, one that Sylas should have found peculiar, and yet he didnʼt—not just because the shade worked so very well for her, but also the fact there wasnʼt a single blemish on it.

It looked just as soft, just as delicate, just as pliable and prone to bruising from the slightest touch as any beautiful woman he had ever seen.

She tempted fate with every movement. Even just standing there, her expression cold as ice, her aura even more domineering with the spear covered in blood she held, Sylas couldnʼt seem to feel much pressure from her at all. At least not pressure that didnʼt come from a part of himself he had long reined in.

Anslaʼs head snapped over the moment she felt the scan, her expression becoming even colder than before. She couldnʼt believe that there was a person in this place that dared to scan her so brazenly.

She expected an apology, a head falling to the floor, but what she instead found was a man still just as brazenly scanning her from head to toe.

A flash of cold flickered in her crimson eyes before her chilliness vanished, replaced by a smile. It was so gentle, so pretty, and yet hiding a sinister sort of sharpness to it.

The latter was so subtle that it was all too easy to miss for almost anyone.

Almost.

Sylas didnʼt seem to notice her change in demeanor at all, though he could guess why she had reacted like this.

This was the Demon World. Anyone brazen enough to scan a woman of her standing and not hide from her gaze was most definitely of high standing as well.

This was why Sylas had taken the action. It was to establish dominance.

He honestly didnʼt feel like he had a chance to defeat this woman using normal means, at least not without pulling out everything he had. So this was going to have to be good enough for the time being.

”Do you like what you see?”

Sylas was still scanning her body when the voice spoke.

There was a buttery smoothness to the voice. It carried the alto tone of a woman who could sing at a slightly lower register, and a beautiful timbre. It was the sort of voice that could drive a man crazy, and Sylas could feel the bombardment against his Will.

It was just unfortunate for her that his Will was beyond what she could imagine, and let alone an E-Grade, even a D-Grade wouldnʼt be able to budge him thanks to his King Slayer talent.

Finally, Sylas met the womanʼs eyes.

”Your fishery owes me an explanation.”

His tone was just as indifferent and cold as always.

There was a hint of surprise in Anslaʼs eyes. It seemed she didnʼt expect this sort of coldness after feeling Sylasʼ gaze.

She had seen men with such brazen gazes before. After all, most of the people she interacted with had standing similar to her own.

Someone like Sylas who was so brazen, and yet also so serious… that was a first.

For a moment, she found herself interested before she threw the thought out of the window.

She might not be able to scan Sylas, but she knew an F-Grade when she saw one. It didnʼt matter to her how talented Sylas was, a man she couldnʼt defeat was of no interest to her. Anything else would just make her look like a social climber, and she had little interest in becoming a little boyʼs plaything.

Her palm opened up and her cold demeanor returned.

Her spear tipped out of her hand, its blade falling down to the ground, cutting through the hard marble floors like butter before it stopped at its guard.

BOOM!

The entire compound shook, the weight of the weapon reverberating.

It was enough to make her stance clear. What she didnʼt expect was for Sylas to raise a finger in a come-here motion.

For a second, she thought he meant her and she was already calculating how to respond…

When her spear was suddenly ripped out of the ground, surging toward Sylas and slapping into his palm.

A green glow surrounded it for a moment and he swung it a few times…

Before clenching his fists.

Chi.

The spear shattered into a rain of ash, flickering flames dancing in the air.
